Is this possible?

I have won everything with Liverpool in 6 seasons and now I want to resign and manager in another league. My question is is it possible to save my Liverpool save as it is now so I can return to it at any point, because I think I might regret leaving Liverpool. But i really want to manage in another league. Im playing FM 2011.

yeah you can when u save go on save as..and save as a different file ..then you can resign(if that makes sense lol)

Resign
Go to "Save As"
Name it a different file
You have both saves, now
