Hi guys, long time no see!

Without boring you for long, here's a brief introduction. Avid CM/FM players now for over 20 years, played the very first ever CM. I've been playing FM10 since release and only bought FMT16 since then, and played that for an hour or 2 before heading back to FM10. Anyway, I've decided to give FMT18 a go and pre-ordered it. Not interested in playing the beta though, just gonna wait til the full game. A couple of questions though from a rusty old FMer.

1) is there likely to be a day 1 release patch to iron out any further bugs like there used to be?

2) in FMT, is there a fix for unlicensed teams and national teams etc?

I've just checked my profile, and I've been a member since March 2010, and the above post was actually my first ever haha.

1) there usually is, yes.

They have released one or two beta updates to get rid of some identified bugs. The final release version will likely be an update, and there will be further patches as required.

And I believe you can fix the licenses for FMT. Its a separate DB file but structured the same, at least on past versions.
