January Friendlies?

What is it with all these friendlies in January in the Bundesliga, this is my first Bundesliga game on 2010 and really weird. Had a two week break and randomly played 3 friendlies and now had 3 games back and just had another friendly? Would have been nice to have the rest. Not sure the point in them at all.

if you want a rest then just play your reserves/youth in those games. or cancel them?

I had the same in my german lower league save.
Kinda nice to play high-profile teams to boost the finances.

I let my assistant take care of friendlies though so when they came up I had no time to do anything about them and couldn't change the team.
