Should i sign him for barcelona? Would he fit in at cb or should i sign someone better?

You can get better for CB but I like his versatility, he is better in Midfield though, maybe if you are just looking for a CB you should look at other options, what is your budget?
 
I rate him alot, but i just need young centre backs that could replace puyol/pique when they finally retire & ive got 40 mill to spend.
 
1) Javi Martinez is a Cm - defensive type player, not a defender

Spanish players:

Mikel San Jose, Inigo Martinez, Sebastian Coates, Alvaro Dominguez, Jordi Amat, Victor Ruiz

other nationalities:

Sakho, Otamendi, Agger, Dede, Nkolou, Vertonghen, Hummels, Astori

Kara is another player who with retraining can make a good CB as well as a good DM. Hard to get a work permit for him in the EPL though, never had a Spanish save so have no clue about work permits or anything of the sort.
 
Absolute beast as CM! Every player can be trained at different position. I would say give it a try and let us know how it will work. Although it will take a lot of time to train him at the position and will cost you some points.
 
I wouldn't have him for CB, there are better people for that position. But definetely someone to look at if you want a defensive yet creative midfielder.
 
in my athletic save he seems to play better at centre back than in midfield - it might be a waste of money though as there are better centre backs that are a lot cheaper
