Jerome Boateng : Leave of absence

I recently signed Jerome Boateng and before the season even started, he complained of not being able to adapt to life at Liverpool and wanted a leave of absence. I said no to this and in the first game he got a red card. I don't know but this seems like he's a liability at the moment. Should I grant him a leave of absence and hope that he returns with a better morale
