Hi guys.

I thought I would ask this question here as I'm not a fan of the official forums! I am a bit worried about job offers.

Quick rundown: 14 is the final version I plan to buy, going with a long term save(40-odd seasons) and decided to start in Northern Ireland Champ 2 with Chimney Corner and simulate a career and work my way up. Started as a Sunday Leaguer. I started the save and played 2 seasons on 14.3.0 and was offered 3 jobs at my level but turned them down. Then 14.3.1 came out and since then I have done a lot better(promotion and holding our own and planning for the next promotion) but havent received any job offers at all.

Now I did play FM10 and FM 12 and those 2 games, even starting way down the ladder, advanced you ahead with better job offers even if you just did OK. 14 doesnt seem to be doing it. Is this a bug or have SI realised that advancement was a bit easy and have tightened it up to be much more life like?

What teams/levels are you guys managing at and what sort of offers are you getting and frequency of them?

Cheers

Nothing was done to job offers in 14.3.1, so it isn't related. You've had three offers, both of which you declined. I assume you haven't applied for other jobs or even declare any interest?

After a while and repeated rejections, clubs will start to think that you don't want to move anywhere since you give no indications that you want to. Since you're doing well, declaring interest or applying for a job elsewhere won't get you into too much trouble with your board. Try that with one job you fancy. Even if you don't get it, other clubs will notice that you might be looking to move and you should start getting offers again.

As for my own game, I go for an interview every once in a while when offered one. It keeps my board on their toes and I've managed to get training facilities and bigger transfer budgets (twice!) out of them as an incentive to stay.

I've moved from Karvina in the Czech 2nd Division to where I am now, Chelsea, with a Sunday footballer starting rep. I didn't make the jump directly, but I did advance my career in steps. I've also turned down offers already from Real, Barca and Bayern.

Thanks WJ

THat does make sense and I am looking to move on in 2/3 more seasons time depending on how I do. The ones i rejected were worse jobs/situations than mine. Maybe Im used to the older games that gave you unrealistic offers at times.

HEAD DOWN TIME :D

I started off with an International Rep & Unemployed, went to Roma, keep getting job offers from premier league teams like tottenham chelsea arsenal, I always attend interviews it makes my board propose talks & then I get to upgrade Roma's facilities. Right now I don't wanna leave roma I wanna be there for a minimum 5 years, If United come along though may be hard to stay (Boyhood club) but I will stay at Roma. Looking to reach 10 years then maybe move on & see them plummet with a poor manager as I rob all their players ;)
