I have noticed that as long as I have played Fm 2015 I am never linked to job openings in the press. I am currently coaching Lyon with a continental reputation and any time a club fires its manager I am never linked as one for the favorites to get it. Also in the past versions of the game clubs have offered an interview to me even when I don't apply.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there something I can do to fix this?

It's because you need to prove your worthy being given the job by winning trophies, getting past you expectations in the competitions. I've had five or six in a season when I was playing as Norwich. I did get them promoted, then finished 5th in the league for Euro Cup qualification and won Capital One Cup too.

You should also declare interest in a job or apply for one. That will signal that you're looking and you'll see that you'll start to get linked and even receive offers too.

I can declare interest and get an interview....the issue is never being the 'favorite' for a job opening. Not sure if this is how FM 15 works or it is just me..?

I have had clubs offer me interviews without me ever applying. Can be rare sometimes, but all depends on your contract etc.

I've noticed over the last few game months that the media has started touting me as the favourite for new coach openings, but no approaches are made.

I'm also not sure why I' suddenly odds on favourite. I got my team promoted from the Conference to League 2 two and a half seasons ago and this season we are struggling (24 games in, 3 wins, 15 draws, 6 loses), so I would have thought this would happen either after I won the conference or we were doing well in the League.

Is your contract nearing its end?

Clubs, & the media, are less likely to consider you when you have a lengthy contract due to the compensation involved.

I'm lower leagues, so all I've ever had are one year contracts.
