Drogba will go back to Marseille in the summer, Torres will be the main man.

Well, indeed.

Problem is that Drogba and Torres are just too similar. Hernandez and Rooney work because the latter drops deep and the former plays up against the centre-backs. Drogba, though he likes to link play, doesn't like dropping as deep at all, and Torres is the classic prima punta. With Anelka, this is somewhat rectified, though not totally.

Needs a bit of Danny Sturridge amirite?

I thought Torres showed signs of the player he can be, but not enough. Luck wasn’t on his side either.

The problem is, he has been struck with injuries and because of a full calendar of football, hasn’t had a proper chance to recover. The same could be said about Rooney, although Sir Alex gave him a few weeks in Germany.

What Torres needs is a full pre season under his belt & some time to recover. I am willing to put good money on him having a cracking season next year, providing he doesn’t get injured again.

I think Drogba has accepted he will be leaving in the summer.

Clarification on Drogba's future, surely, has now been met. Other clubs would die for his talent to be ranked as an option and his goalscoring record can heavily improve at another club - whilst he has time before he hangs up those fiery boots. For Torres, it's the on-going problem about injuries and the need to have rest that is hampering his full ability. Having not peaked 30 yet, he still has a chance in putting on a star-studded season. Whether that be next season or the year after.

He will have a good season. Some time soon.
