With the qualifying series for both next year's European Championships and the African Cup of Nations roughly half-complete, a number of big names are in danger of missing out.

Russia players hit their prime in 2008/2009, but since, they have dropped. Arshavin isn't the player he was, and there are now a lot of foreign imports crowding the league.

Serbia looked good at the WC, and since seemed to have lost the momentum they had. Kezman among others have fallen from grace, and I don't think they will qualify.

England faced a very good Ghana team tonight, who had belief that saw them grab a goal. However, England have been solid in qualifying, and shouldn't have a problem qualifying.

Seriously? I'd say Serbia are one of the dark horses for Euros themselves, if they get themselves together. With players like Krasic, Vidic, Ivanovic, Subotic, Tosic, Kacar, Ljajic, Lukovic, Stankovic, Zigic and Pantelic they're a threat to any side. Particularly formidable defence, too.

They are a good side. On Paper. 90 minutes on the field is where it matters, and Serbia are not in the richest form. A draw against Estonia tonight is not a good result, but they still have time to turn it around.

Play-offs look more likely, but look at the current tables, and there are some good sides fighting for 2nd(Russia, Sweden, Croatia/Greece, Switzerland/Montenegro, Czech Rep).

Estonia beat World Cup semi-finalists Uruguay 2-0, seems like Estonia have a decent set up going atm.
Russia are still very much favorites to finish top of our group.

Serbia were a massive let down in the World Cup. They had a fantastic qualifying campaign and I really expected them to make an impact. Sadly since then things have hit an even bigger stumbling block.

As for England, don't count your chickens and all that.
