Jordan Rhodes can not score (?!?!?!)

As a Rovers fan and a lover of Jordan Rhodes, I have been rather faithful with him and kept him in my team despite numerous poor displays.

What is truly bizarre is, despite not missing a game, he has not scored in the last 20 games. This includes missing numerous one-on-ones, open nets and a couple of penalties. His value has plummeted to ?1.8mill and although I appreciate my team isn't performing well at all (despite Balanta as my supposed rock in centre half along with Cana when he isn't suspended or Hanley), I just can't suss out the issue for the life of me. No matter how I approach games, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 4-4-1-1 etc NOTHING is working. Regardless of tactics I get dominated and it is truly driving me mad. My wingbacks play well below their rating and I am continuously getting a few ratings between 4 and 6 each game, even when we win.

Not sure what is going on, just needed to vent.
 
How ironic,he scores against me in every single game and every single team he plays for and I'm in 2018 now.

In my first season he was a goal machine, and he started off the Premier League campaign well with 3 goals in 5 appearances, but it's all kinda gone downhill from there. I mean I know he's suffering from confidence issues but is that an excuse to hit the post when it's an open goal? I dunno.
 
He has scored 213 goals in 413 matches on my save,so he has the ability,just need to figure out how to get the best out of him.
I also had a problem with my strikers now scoring,but after developing an asymmetric 4-3-2-1 they now score for fun.
So keep on tweaking your tactics.
 
Rhodes has finally scored (hurrah) and I was leading til very late in the game. What is so bizarre is how many shots teams are having against me. I am not talking about clear cut chances or even highlights, just simply shots in the stats... Regardless of whether I play defensive/control/counter it's always the same... in this game I played a 4-2-3-1 with two DMs and was counter for a large part of the game and then defensive. Also as you can see the low ratings of my CBs is a worry and I ALWAYS have a couple of players with very poor ratings. I often ask my players to retain possession with little to no avail.
 
in my game Rhodes has signed for Liverpool and is a goal machine! 12 in 28 only starting 15 of those. Not much but this is 14/15 season so only after coming out of the Championship. Welbeck signed for my Southampton team and scored 16 in 31 with 30 starts and scored 13 in 12 starts for England with 2 sub appearances.
 
That result against City is very good though! But I wouldn't worry much about lots of shots against you. especially long shots. That just means they can't break you down and waste possession by shooting a lot. I get the low ratings for a CB once in a while as well,but that's normal as in one mistake from a CB can result in a goal,so they are more crucial than other positions.
 
In my save Rhodes is retarded. I bought him for 10+ mil (for Everton) in 2014 after he was the top goalscorer for Blackburn. He just didn't want to score for me. It's almost as if he didn't want any $ per goal. I tried him at his most comfortable roles, in different formations, and nothing.... Scored only 2 goals in the first half of the season with an average of 6.50. It was sad.

I then trained him into an AMR, played him as a reserve for a while until he got comfrotable, and started using him as an IF. His avg went up, he had 10 assists and 10 goals in the second half of the season.
It took way too long and a new trainning approach for him to produce, so I ended up selling him because he ultimately didn't fit my system.
Rhodes was supposed to the ultimate poacher and ended up being the ultimate dud/decent IF.

I got sacked, I landed a job at Catania, Blackburn sold him to Stoke for ?1.8mill (!!!!!) and now he's firing of course... Bizarre.
