This is the story of former grassroots coach Rich Robinson who spent 6 years coaching junior football between 2019 to 2025 before taking a break.

In his last season before taking a break he guided his team to a cup final before taking that step back.

Now he seeks to get back in the game from going through the ranks of non-league football to the Premier league to earn his money, reputation and experience along the way. A manager who is highly driven and likes to motivate his team likes his teams to have and keep the ball also loves to tinker his tactics to get the results needed. Rich Robinson has come out today and openly declared he would like to take the vacant managers position on at struggling Northern Premier League Division One West side Stalybridge Celtic. A team that used to play their football in the Enterprise North league has fallen down the football ladder after recent years.

"This could be a great way to showcase my skills gain experience and reputation with a club of this size. This is a club that needs to be back where they belong and I want to be apart of that given the chance, so as of today I can confirm my interest and the club will receive my application. " Robinson said when asked by BBC Radio Manchester's Ivy Mayor.

Rich Robinson was seen leaving a local business close to the Stalybridge Celtic training ground with owner Paul Bowden and Chairperson Nigel Jones.

Rumours are that they asked Rich Robinson to attend an interview but no comments have been made yet of this news. Over the past few weeks Robinson has openly said he wants the job so we can only assume this meeting was to have a talk with the club.

Stalybridge Celtic Hire Rich Robinson on a 2 year deal. Robinson has signed the dotted line and has secured his first managed in non-league football. He takes over from Jon Macken

There is a lot of mixed reactions from the fans with some saying that it was a terrible decision from the club to hire him, but it seemed the majority of fans are happy with the appointment.

Robinson's task is to keep the club in the league and achieve a mid table finish.

After reviewing the squad and seeing who fits into Rich Robinsons plans it looks like their is a new vice captain at the club with young 20 year old midfielder Harvey Fletcher being made vice captain while club legend Liam Tongue will remain captain. Jack Tinning was called into the managers office to have the chat that he will be removed as vice captain as his manager feels that there is better options at the club.

Jack seemed to have took the news well but still felt disappointed that the role was taking off him, He has said though he understands and will fight for the club regardless.

A social media post has been leaked with what looks to be Rich Robinson's strict code of conduct at his new club. If they is true then Robinson will not be happy that somehow this has been leaked, however it looks like he wants to set his standards to which could be a good thing.

Here it is, Rich Robinson First team sheet and team selection for his first game against in charge against Congleton Town. Robinson will be watching closely at all players in the first few games of his tenure to study where he needs to improve.

Robinson has names a possible 4-2-4 formation but could swap and change when needed to get the result he needs.

CONTRACT EXTENSION
The club can confirm that Ruben Jerome has extended his stay with the club after signing a new 2 year deal and significantly reduced his wages.

"Ruben is a fantastic talent and we are happy at keeping him here."
Ruben now will stay at the club until 30th June 2027
