just installed game. cant open at all!!! HELP!!!

hi there. i just bought the game. installed it using dvd (original). completed the installation. when i clicked on the icon to start, nothing happens at all! my com specifications can support the game, no problem. but i just cant start the game at all! its like i never click the icon at all! n no warnings or pop ups. nothing! how to solve this? please help.

you have to install it via Steam mate.. go into Steam and register the CD key, then you have to download it through Steam, its about 2.6gb's or so...

Gone are the days of the CD/DVD..

I always used to buy it that way as well as I live in SA.. now its all through Steam and its much easier to be honest auto updates etc..
