Hi,

Just Started Playing FM 2009 im Liverpool and i have just won my first pre-season match Crewe 1 v 5 Liverpool.




Any hints or tips on buying players and tactics would be appreciated.

go for quality not quantity with players and work more on the defence i would think

i would buy srna, Filipe (LB) and Vagner Love if you have enough cash

If he is Liverpool i would not agree with this, obviously you need quality to mount a chanlenge for the league but Liverpool have the quality from the begining, ie. torres and gerrard. When i was liverpool my main problem was the lack of sqaud, i would be going al right when i had no injuries but when i had a few i was struggling to field a decent team. So my advice would be bring in a few players who are able to provide decent cover for you instead of wasting all your money on a star player and then not being able to buy anyone else and then you lose the league for not being able to rest and provide backup for your team.
