With the peril of Manchester United following the sacking of Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United's selling owners hired, Karl Robinson to take over the team with no history of managing at top level only at youth level. Malcom Glazer welcomed Karl into the club handing him a transfer budget of £155 Million to spend on transfers with £30 million to spend on wages.

Along with this the club was put up for auction in which 5 possible new buyers, 1 being a World Famous, Arab. Another being a group of sucessful British citizens.
