Hello, thought we'd drop on to the forum to let you know about our kickstarter that we've just launched.

Kickstarter link and video... World Tour Of Football Management Simulation.

The complete and collective history of the entire football management genre, from the experiences and research of two fans.

Every boy and girl has dreamed of leading their team to glory. Usually it starts out on the pitch but soon enough most of us realise we're not good enough. This isn't FIFA and I'm not Cristiano Ronaldo...

The next best thing is to don the club suit and manage your team to glory and that is what we all aspire to do.

The uncertainty, the unpredictability, the unnerving last 10 minutes of a cup final where its backs to the wall and you're 1-0 up.

The whole season is in your hands, one wrong move and it’s all over... One right move and you're a hero. Be it Barnsley to Blackburn, Leyton Orient to Liverpool, Real Zaragoza to Real Madrid...its all down to you.

We already have Kevin Toms (Football Manager 1982), Steve Screech (Player Manager, Kevin Keegan's Player Manager & Championship Manager) on board with this project and in talks with the team at Sports Interactive (Football Manager).

We're looking to self-publish this amazing and nostalgic story and Kickstarter is the way forward. We have a whole host of amazing rewards for our backers. These range simply from a copy of the book to having your own stories and reviews incorporated into the book.

Thanks for your time and hope it's something of interest!

I would just like to say that since you are doing a kickstarter you should really understand the rules of advertising, especially on a forum. Should have checked with admins first. Second of all you post doesn't even include the link.

I found it for those who might be interested: https://www.kickstarter.com/project...-management-simulations-snes-se?ref=discovery

edit: You didn't even get the name of your project right. Incompetent post, incompetent kickstarter.

I was on the iPad and thought it had included the link...

I get the following error...

  1. Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words.

The book is called 'World Tour of Football Management Simulation' and the project 'History of Football Management Simulations'.

Thanks for spotting the above.

Sorry to have a moan, I'm just not a fan of kickstarters in general. Good luck with hitting your goal though. But for me I'm more of a "I'll wait for it to be released" kind of person. I've seen more negatives from kickstarter than positives so far.

We are not looking to make money from this project, this is purely a labour love.

Then you'll be glad to hear I didn't donate any money. Nor will I be buying the book. I don't see why anyone would pay money for something filled with poorly-written and tedious stories from people with more money than sense who paid to be included in the book. When you could read them for free in the Post Your Successes threads.

Football Manager Stole My Life is £4 on Kindle or £9 paperback (compared to £7 Kindle or £35!!! paperback for this) and it actually exists.
