KILLER CORNERS!!

ive come up with the best way to score many goals of corners just follow the instructions and see the results!

corners left: 6 yard box
corners right 6 yard box

DL stay back
DR stay back
DC challenge GK
DC challenge GK
MR attack ball from deep
ML attack ball from deep
AM attack ball from deep
DM offer short option or lurk outside area
TALL ST stand on far post
ST attack ball from deep

1. make sure 1 of the players instructed attack ball from deep or 1 of your full backs takes the corner because 3 attacking ball from deep is enough and the other players are playing more important roles
2. if your tall ST is a peter crouch or carew etc tell him to challenge goalkeeper instead and put a DC on farpost instead

For me jamie carragher as scored more goals in 1 season than he had in his whole career!! please let me know how you get on with this im sure you wont be disappointed!

I use Liverpool as well in FM09 and my corner takers are Yossi Benayoun and Fabio Aurilio and i have scored heaps of goals from corners when i use them as my corner takers
 
I just used this. I got a corner at 4 mins and scored it. Great piece of work mate
 
its stopped working for me :-s i guess the AI match engine has sussed on to what im doin so im oin to have change them, im glad it worked 4 u hope the AI doesnt catch on to you thou lol

I always use this corner technique (tho i only had one player challenging the keeper so will try your version with the two doing it)

Is there anything similar for Free kicks?? I score direct from free kicks sometimes but only if they are direct, does the same thing work for FK in terms of getting players to stand by the keeper and aiming the ball for the best header?

do all the players have to be doing this can you swap a few? so it relates to people who are best in the air?
 
yea exactly if your players are good in the air swap them about i.e if ur def mid is taller than ur cb then have him challengin gk instead
 
i always do something like this. 2 tall players challenge gk, small striker on near post, 2 other players attacking from deep. all depends on corner taker. even if some corner have good corner stats it doesnt mean youl get goals. in my old leeds game i had some serbian regen who had 20 in corners and didnt do jack for me. wolves mow and dave jones has 7 assists from corners and big chris iwelumo has 6 goals.
 
For my Reading game, I just put Kevin Doyle on the front post and get the corner to go straight to him. He's scored loads of goals from that.
 
This workes a treat i use it with man utd and av scored loads from corners, its a good way of getting that vital goal when playing the big teams like chelsea and arsenal away
