I am going to start a new career with Kilmarnock. I wanted to pick a OK team in the SPL - a league in which Rangers and Celtic have dominated for far too long - to see if I can grow a team good enough to give them a run for their money.

Kilmarnock Chairman Michael Johnston has angered the club's fans by appointing unknown manager Kieran Guy as their new manager.

Guy has stated that Kilmarnock's real objectives for this season are a midtable finish and the board have given these amounts for the club;

Transfer: £0
Wages: £23.5K P/W

Kilmarnocks got a decent team so it'll be interesting to see how you do, good luck :)
 
if you get the cash i'd suggest getting your hands on Goodwillie or Leigh Griffiths.
 
Definetly get Goodwillie, but if you get the cash as well, go for Verratti quickly :)

A Moderate Pre-Season with some good results but suffering three heavy defeats to three much better teams.

Didn't have sufficient funds to get any big transfers in this window but happy with the Josh Magennis Season-Loan I got. Had to sell two of my good players to make money. Hopefully will have enough money to buy big in January.

August will be posted tomorrow.

Id reccommend Vladimir Weiss from my Leicester story. He was a delight and after the first season he gets released usually.

AUGUST 2009​

SPL -------- Kilmarnock 1 - 0 Hamilton​



A good start to the season. We won a game we were not expected to get anything out of which is always a plus.

First Half​

The first half had no better team with the game going up and down the pitch like a basketball match. It was a dull first half in all fairness and we had a free-kick on the edge of the area at the end of the half which we scuffed.

Second Half​

Second half everything changed. We came out as the better team and took an early goal in the 47th minute but still after that we dominated the match left, right and centre and we shouldve gone on to get more goals. But hey, a wins a win.



SPL --------- Motherwell 2 - 0 Kilmarnock​

First Half​

Ummm.....slip-up. Motherwell were the better team and we didnt deserve anything we played awful in the first half and Motherwell took advantage of that by scoring a quick-fire double in the 21st and 24th minute.

Second Half​

Came back out at the re-start with more of the same. Motherwell were completely dominant and perhaps should've won by a bigger margin. Glad to hear the final whistle and move on to the next game.


SLC 2nd Round ------ Arbroath 0 - 1 Kilmarnock​


Done what was expected really, and we dominated the game in every area of the pitch and totally deserved the win but maybe deserved a bigger scoreline in the end but score doesn't bother me aslong as I get the win.

We move into the 3rd round and will face St. Mirren.

SPL ---------- Kilmarnock 1 - 0 St Mirren

First Half​

Ah much more like it. Again no clear better team in the first half maybe in all honesty St. Mirren may have pinched that accolade but hey-ho we got into half time with the scores level, which is probably the way it should've been.

Second Half​

It seemed to be a different story in the second half with St. Mirren being the better team by far. Until the 54th minute when Severin netted a 25 - yarder to give us the lead. We then dominated the match up until the 80th minute when St. Mirren became ultra-offensive but it may have been a case of too little too late as the final whistle went to give a victory I was delighted with.

August League Table​


WOW!!! After the first month we sit in 3rd position right behind the kings I aim to dethrone. Very pleased with that aswell as getting through to the 3rd round of the League Cup.
