So, this is the second poll of the first round of the League Cup:

Northanmonkee vs Jose22

For each entrant, I've asked them to give a sentence or two on why they chose that design, so:

NORTHANMONKEE

"With my Middlesbrough kits, I was desperately trying to bring a touch of colour to what is a usually stagnant Red & White kit. I dont think too much colour would have aided the kit, but a glimpse of yellow in the sponsor and the detailing helps. This I carried over into what are unconventional colours for a Boro away kit, but felt that the colours work together"

"hmm... why did i do this... cause i thought it looked good an middlesboroughly :D used their usual club colours for home and away... and a nice clean cut sponsor that goes well wit the kit :D"

I really like Northernmonkee's home kit, but both I think both of Jose's kits are good so she gets my vote.
 
jose's for me, I just didn't like Northernmonkee's away kit :(
 
Jose22's kits for me..northern's away kit is..well..unattractive to me.
 
I voted for jose's kits because, although I liked northanmonkee's home kit, the Garmin sponser and the chevron thing are a bit rough, and I didn't like the away kit. I did like the template that jose used, and the colours she used on the away kit.
 
Really tough choice here... closest call out of the 3 first round ties so far... wish I could split my vote, northan's home kit & jose's away kit!

Pushed to pick one over the other it's Northern who gets my vote. sorry Jose, your kits are still class.
 
looks like you may have this one sewn up Jose, well played. If I am honest, I really liked your home kit but wasnt too keen on your away. Which from looking at the notes is exactly what people have said about mine. In my opinion, I find the blue and the black to not be distinctive enough, this is only my opinion and this is coming from a guy 12-17 down, so make of that what you will ;)

Good game, and atleast it was fairly close.

Still 4 days to go mate, you never know! Also, if you get enough votes you may go through anyway, some kits not submitted etc...

tbh... i chose my away colours as thats the normal middlesborough away colours.... ateast thats the colours that come up when you put middlesborough away into google images xD

plus i might not be able to do the next round if i do win as i fly out to america next sunday and cant take my laptop for insurance reasons :( im gonna be lost without it haha

NorthanMonkee's home shirt is my favourite of the four, so they get my vote. Unfortunately, the away shirt included far too many colours for me, and it seemed to contrast.

jose22's shirts would have earned my vote had they not added the nonsensical splatter brush stripe between the designer and club logos. I honestly think they looked perfectly fine without this addition, which effectively ruined them for me.
 
Northanmonkee's are better IMO.

Very interesting, just made it 19-19.
 
Ok, this poll is now closed, it was ****** close, but the winner is Jose with 25 votes runner-up is Northanmonkee with 23 votes But as Jose22 is unable to compete in the next round, her place goes to the highest voted runner up, which ironically is Northanmonkee, so he takes her place in the next round, congrats to both!
