Kuyt, good striker?

I've just been promoted with newcatle and need a goal scorer. I've been refered to cabanas, but toulouse bought him and wont sell. Also cristaldo, but he is young and i need a reliable scorer to keep me up. Now liverpool offered me kuyt for 6.5m is he a goal scorer, i have a right winger already and his best position is striker anyway. So what should i do?

IMO Kuyt is only decent at right wing, but you could try it nonetheless. Try loaning him if you think he'll be a good striker, then obviously if he's **** you wouldn't have spent too much on him.
