hey guys, lately ive been struggling to find a game that i enjoy and want to carry on.... ive been all the teams under the sun (we at least it feels like that) but just got no joy

i decided to be peterbough but still feel i could lose motivatation so i wondered if you guys would be willing to comment and give me tips and ideas on this thread and i would keep you updated on how i was doing it would be a great way to gain motivation

looking foward to your replys

thanks mark

Wish i could help but i really don't know anything about keeping my players motivated :\

I guess at the beginging of the season set the reward bonuses to high, and tell players you're impressed with thier recent form.

lewlufc didn't even read the post just the titel :S

yeah, any of you guys have lack of motivation to carry on past january. i just lost my first game to reading 4-0 :(

seriously dude, try something completely different, managing in another country, and dont just go to the spanish top league as you will be trying to sign the same players as usual. try a lower european league. like spanish 2nd div b1. low dutch league. or a small euro natons premier league. like romania, serbia, etc. this will mean you will never be able to get near any of the signings you usually go for.

or go somewhere completely diffferent, australia, america and the joys of the MLS. managing in south america is very interesting too, brasils league set up is something that will keep you occupied for a while. building a young team, selling on the stars to europe after 3-4 seasons and then trying to rebuild with the money is a big challenge.

This. Seriously, go manage a team in South Africa or take charge of some crappy international team. I had the same lack of motivation back in FM07, so instead of managing English clubs, I mixed it up and started managing Leece.

It was a great game. I did really badly but just looking at different players, playing against different players made me really appreciate the game. Then, when I went back to managing English club it was new and exciting again

Problem doing this is you're managing another good team who should be expected to win, I find it more fun playing as a team expected to do badly, and making them a success.
