Last night was Frank Lampard's 500th career appearence for Chelsea and although the night was not joyous he shows no signs of stopping yet. He is only the 4th player in Chelsea's history to make it past the 500 mark and joins club legends Peter Bonetti, Ron Harris and John Hollins. ChelseaFC.com have provided a breakdown of the mans 500 games and i thought it would be nice to publish them on here.

For me he is the best midfielder i have seen in a Chelsea shirt (even if i did think 11million for him was a waste of money at the time) and is already a club legend. Easily one of the best midfielders to grace the PremierLeague and lets hope their is more to come from Frank. Here are some of my favourite Frank goals for people to enjoy. It will be nice to hear what people think of him.

Chelsea legend without a doubt, and one of the finest Prem midfielders of his generation. His goalscoring record in particular is remarkable for a midfielder.

Such a great player that I've really come to appreciate over the years. Reckon he's capable of getting to 600, tbh.

Phenominal achievement considering that he hasn't been a one club player, it's always great to see a player serve their club for such a long period. It looks unlikely that anyone will surpass Chopper though!

I wouldnt think so mate, although i think Terry will get close ish if he keeps fit.

great player over the years

the goal he scored at the camp nou in 06/07 was a cross lol ;)

World Class goal scoring midfielder, simple as that.

I take my hat off to him

great player but never really done it for England!!!

harsh to single him out, could argue very few players have done it totally for England

It's unlikely he will break the appearance record but he will almost definately break the goals , he's only around 60 off now and he has 4/5 season left in him yet IMO.

Great midfielder, absolute workhorse for the club. Just a shame he hasn't won an international trophy with England yet-least he deserves. Though I wish you hadn't have posted that winning goal against my club in the Cup Final :@ lol

^I wouldn't go that far, I think he's on the decline (unfortunately). I'd say he has 3 more seasons at the most. Quality player though, and I wouldn't say he's been that bad for England...

Same. It's some of the players around him who've not really done much to contribute to the cause. Some played as if they couldn't give a stuff. If they showed more passion and committment like Lamps and Terry, maybe we'd have won a Euro, or got further in the World Cup tournaments

Amazing talent, one of the main reasons i follow Chelsea

Representing. 8-|

Was going to say the same thing, a few great players hail from Romford

I don't see him getting to 600 personally, but 500 is still an amazing achievement.
