Looking to buy a new laptop to run FM as missus last year at uni and hogging the laptop and CBA to play on the desktop.

I wanna load 10 plus league with 100,000 players on a large database roughly.

If any one has any suggestions then please share.

Thanks in advance.

FM isn't particularly graphics intensive so unless you plan on playing other games with the laptop I wouldn't be particularly worried about a video card. I'd recommend going for a laptop with a good amount of RAM. 4GB would be fine, but you would be better off with 8GB.

The CPU is probably going to be the most important component as far as FM is concerned, so look for a quad core i5 or i7, if you're going with Intel.

Them 2 things the main things to look out for in a laptop for fm then?

How much were you looking to spend? Processor, RAM and an SSD are the vital parts but now that FM has finally moved to 64-bit architecture it runs a lot smoother on 'lower spec' laptops than previous versions which only utilised 32-bit

I find that a good SSD and a fast processor make FM to run much faster

Im also looking for a laptop for fm17. Maybe looking to spend between 250-300 but dont know if that would be enough as ive looked at laptops with i5 and i7 but they seem pricey. Are the there any wwbsites that you guys could suggest?

I would look at refurbished on that budget Pedro, should have no problem picking up something like a 3rd gen i5, 8gb ram and maybe enough left over for an SSD for £300

laptop needed....

Hi guys, ive recently won a copy of the game and been thinking of getting a laptop for a while so nows the perfect time, i need something reasonably priced but will run FM well but dont really know what im looking at, come up with this so far.....HP 250 Core i7-6500U 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 15.6" Windows 10 Laptop - Laptops Direct
Would it do the job or can someone recommend something better for a similar price? Cheers.
