Laptop graphics card not working properly?

i have a hp dv6 3043TX i5 processor,4GB Ram,Windows 7 home premium(64 bit),1 GB ATI radeon graphics card 5650,
my problem is that few days ago when i was playing my game gta 4 suddenly strange black lines appeared and disappeared like they where flickering and when i played nfs undercover yesterday it got worse in that game..there were all kinds of black n skin color triangle shaped like things one the screen.and the screen was getting black in some parts of the game..
please note that i have just bought the laptop 1 month ago and i didnt face any problems then i had been playing these games since then but from the past 3 or 4 days this problem is occurring..
so please suggest what has gone wrong with my graphics card as this problem doesnt occur when i play the game on intel display(i have switchable graphics option)

have you updated your graphics drivers?

Try downloading the updates, run them, and restart the PC. Update as much as possible(DirectX and so on), basically anything that affects the graphics.
