whats new? ;)

pace is a ridiculous attribute on this FM i have found, if strikers have significant pace and your defence isn't the quickest they just gas it past...

as iv posted in the frustrations thread, gabby yourmomsahore is near impossible to defend against with his 20 accel and 20 pace!

Im Aston villa and have started the season well scoring goals
i play a diamond 442
with petrov or reo sitting it front of the back of
warnock,,,Mexes,,,Dunne,,,Young
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Petrov,,,,,,,,,,,,,

i normally have petrov man mark the main danger,,
both CB's aren't to quick what's the best way to play this defence

Exactly the defence i played with Villa, exceot swap Mexes with Curtis Davies, and i had the 5th best defensive record in the prem. I just used d-line set to the middle (or high agaisnt slow attack) the side was standard rather than fluid which helps. Against top 4 sides i made defensive positioning my focus area in match prep

Yes that is annoying lol. Great when you have him in your team though :P

So play a deep Defence? Although I don't seem to go forward as much this way...

i would agree mate totally, that is the common sense approach!

but with 20 and 20 any sort of space he will just roadrunner it, unless your defence stand on the goal line, he has too much space.

i may be biased because i despise the lad lol but he has murdered me when iv faced him so far :S

To be honest unless you are dead set on playing Mexes, a CB pairing of Davies and Dunne worked wonders for me. I cant think of a single BIG error they made and they were solid in 4 out of 5 games. Also they have a fair amount of pace so you can get away with playing a medium line, which renders most slow strikers redundant

wuh...what I saw only way to prevent conceding is to play deep defensive line and narrow width, shout retain possession and ball to feet...how to build victory on this I still have no idea

for away matches in combination with defensive mentality and counter it is possible to win, sometimes get draw and rarely to lose but for home matches this doesn't work if you want 3 points

Yer i want to try and have alot of the ball and play fluid football, so i think im gonna have to accept the leaky goal
