I am well into a save with Uniao Madeira starting as an unemployed Sunday league rep manager and have established myself in the top Portuguese league constantly coming in 3rd or 4th behind Porto and Benfica. Yet my board isn't giving me the funds to make the next big step to challenge Porto who pay one player more than my entire wage budget although they did build me a shiny new 22000 capacity stadium. I really like my team and have youngsters with real bright futures but am getting job interview offers left and right for a lot of mid table sides in England and France. Should I move on or stick with Uniao Madeira? Any opinions would be appreciated as I think I have to move on but would be sad to part ways with many of the players. I know I could try to buy them when I go as I am listed in their favored personnel. Does that make it easier to buy the player? Thanks for reading.

How long ago was the stadium built and how much did it cost? Has money been spent on anything else, like youth or training facilities? Maybe the reason why you haven't been given more transfer/wage funds is because the club is still recovering financially from paying for the new stadium. I would give it a couple more seasons and if they still refuse to give you more money to spend on players, then move on to another club that doesn't limit you as much. Make sure you wait until you're actually offered a job before leaving, though. An interview doesn't guarantee you'll get the job.

The stadium loan was a whopping €41 million and won't be paid back for another 16 years which is unfortunate considering I didn't ask for it and it only fills about 50%. As for not leaving I know that I've been offered jobs at Bordeaux and Montpellier this year. I'm hoping if I can break into the top 2 and get champions league which hopefully will boost funds. I am thinking about selling a few of my best players who could probably get me around €30 million having just signed fresh contracts and only being in their young 20s. Thanks for the advice!

I would recommend leaving as in my saves I get too bored staying at the same place the whole time and also it must be a pain in the *** not getting much money. However, new warned that after a new manager takes over you will get very annoyed as he will sell all your players. Happens to me all the ******* time!

I like to stick with my team if I've put work into it, however the decision should be yours, not ours.. :P
If you want to leave, leave, if not, start a new save where you don't care where you go.

If you decide to leave, just try to bring over your favorite player or two if it won't break the bank at your new club.

No single player is bigger than the entire club, ever. Every player has a pricetag for me, and my bank is always in the green this way, and I never have a player on wages over 50k(yet, Haven't decided to make champions league push yet), yet I'm always top three in France with Havre Athletic Club :)

You never know - your club might get bought out, the debts settled and new cash invested for transfers. It happened to me around 2020 when I had already won the Premier League once.

I'm top of the table right now halfway through and decided to just throw my euro cup group games so I can just focus on the league and hopefully win it. I got a new owner a couple years ago and he did nothing for the debt and funds (he's a lousy movie director). Thanks for all the responses!

I allways get to emotional with a team when I start a new save and I prefer to start a new game than leaving from the club to move to another ! I believe that the best way not to get bored and have succesful seasons is to buy one or maybe two players every season and build your team slowly . By doing this you will be in a healthy financial situation (this means good transfer funds) and you will enjoy your club getting stronger day by day !
