Simon Grayson today resigned as manager of Leeds United - claiming he had taken them as far as he could.
In an official statement made by club chairman Ken Bates he said, '' We are upset that Simon has taken such measures, altough we are confident that we will be able to find an adequate replacement in the coming weeks.''
Grayson finished Leeds in the Play-Off positions last season although they failed to win promotion. Hopes are high at the Yorkshire based club that they will find a replacement of even better quality than Grayson.
The three main candidates for the job are:
1. Chris Coleman
2. Lawrie Sanchez
3. Tony Mowbray
