This will be my first manager story, and will be throwing myself in at the deep end with one of the more..shall we say interesting chairmen to work for in recent times, Massimo Cellino. Meaning we'll be managing none other than Leeds United.

The premise of the story will take place just after Brian McDermott parted company with Leeds on May 30th 2014. With the departure of one, sees the swift entry of another. Back in 2010, a former Leeds player and icon in recent times stated that he would like to manage Leeds one day. Given the gap left by the departure of McDermott, the individual has thrown his hat into the ring and after a successful interview process, he has been welcomed in with open arms. This individuals time is now.

July 8th 2014 - Lucas Radebe Confirmed as New Leeds Manager

After an interviewing process of just over a month, Leeds Chairman Massimo Cellino has today confirmed former Leeds Captain, South African Lucas Radebe has been confirmed as the new Leeds United Manager. Mr Radebe, who made 201 appearances for Leeds just over a 11 year spell with the side before retiring due to persistent injury issues has signed a 1 Year Contract with the club.

Radebe, described this opportunity of managing Leeds as a dream come true. His appointment as Manager has been welcomed thoroughly by Leeds fans who will remember him vividly from their successful spell in Europe and the Premier League in the late 90's/early 00's.

July 9th - Press Conference
J: Lucas, first and foremost, welcome back to Leeds United, how does it feel to be back?
LR: The feeling and emotion the supporters who may remember me from a decade ago has been nothing short of phenomenal. It's great to be back.
J: I see, and with the departure of Ross McCormack to Fulham for 11 million, is that an individual you wanted to see leave the club?
LR: Whilst going through the interviewing process for the Leeds job, Ross already had one foot out of the door, and my appointment overshadowed his departure yesterday a little. However, one man does not make a team and with Ross's departure, it allows another to step up in his place. Only time will tell as to who that may be.
J: Lucas, what sort of formation will we be seeing you utilize here with the Leeds set up?LR: I am generally a fan of the old 4-4-2 diamond formation and will be making use of it when possible with Leeds. I like to play good attacking football whilst not rendering myself helpless at the back by maintaining 4 defenders to hold the line.
J: With that said, are there any players you're looking into signing for Leeds?
LR: It's too early to tell at present, every player who is currently with us, be it at the club, on loan or even away will have the opportunity to play for their position. This goes right down to our recently graduated youth players who are showing the will and tenacity to stake a claim for a place.
J: Finally, with the recent take over of Mr Cellino, how is the relationship between you and him?
LR: (Smiling a little) I simply come here, get on the training pitch, and do my job which is to get the best out of our current crop of players, and Mr Cellino does his job by ensuring I have the tools at my disposal to get the right people in. Our relationship is great, no issues.
J: Thank you for your time today Lucas and we wish you well.

July saw Radebe tinkering with the team to get the right formation he desired. Initially beginning with a 4-4-2 formation consisting of 4 holding midfielders which didn't quite work out culminating in a shock 1-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley (Who are they?). With this defeat and the turn of the month, Radebe changed to that of a 4-4-2 diamond wide formation which he initially stated in his July 9th press conference resulting in a 5-0 hammering of Chesterfield.

With Radebe looking to further fortify the left back position, the signing of Lee Wallace from Glasgow Rangers on loan for the season was well received by the club and it's fans. Youth signings consisting of former Chelsea player Victorien Angban and former Barcelona B side player Dino Halilovic were met with positive response by the clubs supporters.

In terms of the results, Leeds started off slowly but built steam over the course of August pulling off some shock wins Middlesbrough who are seen as promotion candidates by Sky Bet, as well as away victories over the likes of Watford in the Championship and Leicester to move into the next round of the Capital One Cup, where they will face Nottingham Forest.

Heading into September, Leeds sit 4th in the Championship, with 3 wins, and 2 draws. Deadline day beckons, will there be any further ins and outs?

I also started a save with Leeds but i was almost sacked by january and i got really mad and deleted the save...
Now I have to start over again, still with Leeds.
In the first save I played a 442 diamond narrow with a 532-352 for aways.
Now I*m thinking playing flat 442. What roles do you play Cook and Sharp?

Cook can play most roles in midfield, as a Leeds fan and who watches the game, if it was like real life Cook would be a very good BBM and as well like real life Sharp is known as a Poacher so I would play him like that, he's never really clicked with me on the game though

And good luck with your story Bezy

With August drawing to a close, and the transfer window with no further signings Leeds welcomed a brief rest period due to the international period that was looming, enjoying the 14 day respite before continuing on with their next set of tough fixtures. These fixtures which include the likes of Bournemouth away, Nottingham Forest in the next round of the Capital One Cup at Elland Road, and a tough away game against Brentford to cap the month off.

Again, Leeds started the month off slow with their away form seemingly getting the better of them, taking the lead on each occasion against Birmingham and Bournemouth but ultimately conceding in the dying stages of each fixture to at least take a point away from each away fixture that month.

I was however happy with wins over Huddersfield (West Riding Rival) and Nottingham Forest to progress into the next round of the Capital One Cup, drawn away to League 1 side Preston North End. With these positive results, Radebe has now decided upon a regular starting 11 and sticking with the 4-4-2 diamond wide formation as it has allowed Leeds to perform above the expectations of finishing 14th not just by their fans, but the main players in the league thus far.

Utilizing the 4-4-2 diamond wide, and rotating the squad in accordance with their form (Bamba currently being out and Del Fabro being brought onto the bench in his absence). Sloth, Mowatt, Sharp and Antenucci have simply being fantastic within the starting XI in the past two months in ensuring that Leeds hold a top 6 position with their creativity and flair in their attacking roles.
