Joleon Lescott has been ruled out of Manchester City's last two Premier League games, but is expected to be fit for the World Cup.

Who says he will get in the team anyway? :S

The only reason I can see him going is because he's versatile. He doesn't merit a place in the squad though.
spot on. as a left back baines and cole have had better seasons (baines has the most fullback assists). and at centreback, apart from the usual suspects, dawson is way ahead, and even the little that jags has played hes been much more convincing. to be honest id rather take two inform specialists than one average utility player

off topic but just saw your mourinho quote, love it!

we have two friendies left. dawson, jags, adam johnson, and zamora need to be called up for them. much as trust capello it would be foolhardy not to have one last look at other options before the world cup. i'd like hargeaves to play just to see what hes like (in no way am i saying he should go to the world cup) really hopes he plays against stoke

his not god enough for england anyway and i will be mighty suprised if he makes the squad.

I wouldn't take Lescott now that Ashley Cole is fit.

Only reason I may have considered him would be if Cole was still out, and Capello doesn't trust Baines/Warnock. We have far better centre halves available.
