MOYES SACKED BY MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United have today announced that following an emergency meeting with senior club officials, manager David Moyes has been relieved of his duties. Coming as no apparent surprise, given United's turbulent form, it ahs been suggested that bookies favourite Louis van Gaal is NOT in consideration for the job and club legend Ryan Giggs has also ruled himself out of contention for the role.

The new manager? Sources within the club have leaked the name of Ewan MacGregor, the former Rangers FC coach. The 37 year old Scot, currently unemployed following savage wage cuts at the Glasgow club, was unavailable for comment but a spokesperson today stated he would be delighted to talk to United about their vacancy.
