After Last season’s disastrous results Liverpool have decided to sack Rafael Benitez. The Liverpool board will be looking for a strict manager to bring in stability to the club.
Felix Magath was today appointed Liverpool manager. He will be looking to win the league championship. Despite lacking funds Magath promises to bring in some big names but first a huge clear out.

Liverpool Sell Main Stars

Liverpool have sold Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard for a combined fee of 70 million Pounds.
Manager Felix Magath said "In the past liverpools problem was that they relied too much on Torres and Gerrard, now i think we can concentrate on the title as a team".

Fernando Torres joined Barcelona for a fee of 30.5 million pounds.
Steven Gerrard Joined Real Madrid for a fee of 40 million pounds.

Villarreal Sign Riera

Spanish side Villarreal annouce the signing of Liverpool and Spain winger Albert Riera.
This come just days after Sunderland announced the signing of Ryan Babel for 6 million pounds.
Albert Riera left for 8.25 millon pounds. Liverpool are yet to make any signings but are reportedly close to Edin Dzeko.

Liverpool Announce Massive Signing.

Liverpool Manager Felix Magath was proud to announce the signing of Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko for a fee of 20 million pounds. Magath promises more signings, but was estatic as he belives that Dzeko will be a fantastic addition to the club. Liverpool are also rumoured to be close to the signiture of Misimovic from Wolfsburg.

Magaths summer Madness

Its been a hetic week for Felix Magath and Liverpool to say the least. After bringing in shock signing Thierry Henry Liverpool have also brought in Rafael Van Der Vaart and Fernando Gago. In the same week Liverpool have let go of Lucas, Kuyt, Aurelio and Dossena giving Liverpool a completely new look Squad.

An unconvincng Liverpool defeated Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in the opening game of the season. Maxi Rodriguez latched onto a deflected Misimovic freekick and kept his cool, sloting the ball past Paul Robinson to put the Reds in the lead after 35 minutes. The game then crawled to a halt with Blackburns only chance going to Pederson who shot straight to Reina. Javier Mascheranio will miss the next game after he was sent off for a reckless challnege on Bret Emerton.


Felix Magath stated "We need to focus on some areas but i think we soaked up there pressure well and hit them well on the counter. Good to see the team geling as many made their Premier League debuts today"

In other results Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all opened their seasons with a win and West Ham downed Premier League title challengers Man City 3-1
