This is my first FM story, couldn't remember my old login :( Anyway I'm going to start with my beloved Liverpool.

***** BREAKING NEWS *****

Liverpool have parted company with Manager Rafael Benitez. As the on-going rift between Manager and Owners has been going on for some time now, Tom Hicks and George Gillett have decided to part company with the man who unexpectedly brought the Champions League to Liverpool in 2005. The favourite for the job remains Kenny Dalglish who has yet to comment on the matter, also mentioned has been former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

***** DOUGHERTY UNVEILED AS MANAGER *****
Liverpool FC have confirmed the signing of rookie manager Daniel Dougherty, this news comes as more of a shock to the fans of Liverpool who were expecting Kenny Dalglish to take control of the playing staff, the owners who apparently did have Kenny first in-line have stated that Kenny wanted to "remain" as Chief Scouting Director to ensure Liverpool have the best young players coming through their ranks. Liverpool fans are eagerly awaiting the press conference with Dougherty.

Q. You sit here as new Liverpool manager. Reportedly a long life fan?

A. Absolutely, This is for me, the ultimate job, growing up as a child I would of never thought this would of been possible. I'm thrilled to be here and can't wait to get started.

Q. The Liverpool Manager job is one of the biggest in football. How will you be able to handle the pressure?

A. I'll handle the pressure, Liverpool FC will be winning the Premier League this season, call me arrogant but I will be ending that long 19 year wait.

Q. What is your overall approach to the tactical side of the game?

A. We'll be making sure we dominate from the off, each and every player will have a specified role into where and when to move, and when to make the right pass or the clever final ball. I will be instilling this mentality into the players so we're difficult to beat and entertaining when we go forward. We want to entertain and be good defensively.

Q. Handling your players effectively is a key part of the job. What will you be bringing to the man management side of the game?

A. I will be very disciplined, I want the players to know that I am there, and if they are on a high horse, I'll be bringing them back down to earth to keep their feet on the ground.

Q. How involved do you tend to be in the club?

A. We have a great backroom staff here with the likes of Sammy Lee and Mauricio, I'll be involved as much as I can be to make sure everyone is doing everything correctly, to make sure Liverpool Football Club are doing things the best, and right way.

Q. Are you happy with the current squad or do you know whose staying and whose going?

A. Yes of course, there is going to be a complete overhaul of the squad, I'm not happy with some of the players we have, and to win the Premier League I will be investing heavily into the transfer market.

Q. What will happen in the transfer market?

A. I am planning a few moves already for some top top young talent. We only have a small budget to work with at the moment but the board have promised me any funds from players that leave the club will be available to use.

The press conference at Anfield has been concluded.

good luck i will be following though you are new to the site,

Good luck. I'll be following.

Liverpool Echo Reports

Rookie manager Daniel Dougherty promised Liverpool fans the title in his first press conference prompting mixed views from Liverpool fans.
Dougherty though, however has promised that overhaul of the squad and below you can see the ins and outs of Liverpool Football Club for the upcoming season and there fairly good pre season results.

Players Out:
Ryan Babel (11.5M) - Man City
Lucas (9.75M) - Man City
Philipp Degen (3.2M) - Stoke City
Dirk Kuyt (14.25M) - Man City
Diego Cavilieri (5M) - Hull City
Andrea Dossena (7M) - Man City
Dani Pacheco (P/Ex) - Villarreal
Albert Riera (9M) - Sunderland
Andriy Voronin (5M) - Sunderland

Players In:

Simon Jovetic (12.5M) - Fiorentina
Claude Makelele (1.5M) - PSG

Once again Liverpool's owners look to have taken a chunk out of the budget, Dougherty refused to comment or criticise the board by commenting "We have enough to manage". Fans are delighted with some of the signings Dougherty has made but are very upset at losing Dirk Kuyt. Former favourite Robbie Fowler thinks Liverpool will miss Dirk's enthusiasm, work-rate and important goals.

Pre-Season:

RW Essen (4-0) - Jovetic, Prieto, Dalla Valle, Brouwer
Hoffenhiem (4-2) - Benayoun, Torres, Carragher, Gerrard
Hannover (3-6) - Torres, Gerrard, Jovetic

Scunthorpe (2-0) - N'Gog, Jovetic
Fiorentina (3-2) - Torres - Gerrard - Mascherano

Will update after first month of campaign, some good results in pre season apart from the hannover thumping. Some transfers were over 48months which is why I didn't get much to spend, Man City are the only club to have paid upfront :(

Your squad will need a bit of time to gel seeing as you have made so many signings so you will have to be quite patient with them. In time you could have a world class squad.

good luck i will be following though you are new to the site,
If you read his first post it says at the top, he forgot his other pass for his other username.

What was your old username mate?

Good luck, being a Liverpool fan I'll definitely be following.

This should be an interesting story. Hopefully you'll win the league within 2 seasons :)

Sky Sports News Update - Dougherty enjoying good start
First month of season is underway and Dougherty has produced some outstanding results for Liverpool winning all 4 League games with Fernando Torres scoring 6 goals and earning himself the August player of the month. Dougherty was pipped by Alex Ferguson for Manager of the month which to some was a dubious decision.

August Results:

Liverpool 5 - 1 Arsenal (Torres x3, Rossi x2 - Van Persie)
Portsmouth 0 - 2 Liverpool (Mullins O.G, Torres)
Fulham 0 - 2 Liverpool (Gerrard, Torres)
Liverpool 2 - 1 Man City (Gerrard, Torres - Robinho)

Champions League Group H

At. Madrid
Wolfsburg
CSKA Moscow
Liverpool

Nice results, but I think you broke your PC when you lose with 3-6 with Hannover in that friendly, LoL...
Good luck, mateh!

Replacing Kuyt with Jovetic? Big risk mate :) Good luck though hope you find our number 19!

good luck son, i am very interested in this story, i like people playing as arsenal and liverpool as they take some skill, however man utd stories and chelsea stories dont take much skill, though chelsea have a transfer embargo so i will have to have a bash at that

Internet went down last night so couldn't do an update!

The Big Match - Merseyside Derby
Liverpool kick off their first Merseyside Derby under rookie Manager Daniel Dougherty at Anfield today. Dougherty who has enjoyed a great start at Liverpool will be looking to get one over David Moyes against a side who Dougherty has said are "bitter" about Liverpool's prestige and success.
Moyes has reacted saying Dougherty still has a lot to learn at the top level of management and is far too inexperienced to win trophies at such an early stage with Liverpool.

Update!!!!!
November:
Liverpool in shaky form after losing derby to Everton
Daniel Dougherty lost his first ever derby against Everton 2-1, Fernando Torres cancelled out Pienaar's opener but "der Yak" fired home the winner in the last kick of the game. Liverpool have been rather shaky during the month, hopefully it's just a slight blip and they can get back onto winning ways.

Results:
Liverpool 1 - 2 Everton (Torres - Pienaar, Yakubu)
Chelsea 1 - 2 Liverpool (Essien - Benayoun x2)
CSKA Moscow 1 - 1 Liverpool (Necid - Jovetic) - Champions League
Liverpool 2 - 2 Man Utd (Benayoun, Torres - Rooney, Evans)

December:
Dougherty loses his 2nd derby in charge after dominating for 120minutes Everton defended extremely well and took the game 3 - 0 after some shocking penalties from Liverpool. Liverpool however have stopped leaking goals and their recent blip seems to be behind them. Fernando Torres in top form over the festive period smashing another 3 goals past Arsenal, thats 6 in 2 against the Gunners for the Spanish hitman.

Results:
Everton 2 (p) - 2 Liverpool (Neville, Vaughan - Torres x2) - League Cup Qtr Final
Wigan 0 - 0 Liverpool
Wolfsburg 0 - 0 Liverpool - Champions League
Birmingham 0 - 2 Liverpool (Rossi, Carragher)
Liverpool 2 - 0 Blackburn (Torres, Jovetic)
Liverpool 2 - 0 Wolves (Di Maria, Torres)
Sunderland 0 - 1 Liverpool (Torres)
Arsenal 3 - 4 Liverpool (Nasri, Arshavin, Van Persie - Torres x3, Aquilani)
Liverpool 1 - 0 Portsmouth (Aquilani)

January:
Dougherty who was promised funds by the owners has used his budget, many fans thought there would be big signings but Dougherty picked up transfer listed duo Deco & Ballack from Chelsea for a mere 1.5Million between them and also purchased Arsenal's playmaker Tomas Rosicky for 2.5Million. In addition to this Gabriel Milito was brought to Anfield to challenge for a Centreback starting berth for 3.5million.

Players In:
Gabriel Milito (Barcelona) - 3.5M
Deco (Chelsea) - 875K
Michael Ballack (Chelsea) - 675K
Tomas Rosicky (Arsenal) - 2.5M

Current Results January:
Grimsby 0 - 4 Liverpool (Benayoun, Rossi x3)
Liverpool 5 - 0 Fulham (Carragher, Aquilani, Deco, Jovetic, Torres)

Upcoming in Jan:
Man City (away)
Wolves (home)
Bolton (home)
Burnley (away)

- You'll Never Walk Alone -
