Life long arab takes over Dundee United in their centenary year.

Today it has been confirmed that young inexperianced Daniel Fox will take over at Dundee United, after years of watching his favourite team week in week out. Some eyebrows have been raised due to his inexperiance but Mr Fox seems delighted with the challenge of leading his team to glory. He had this to say, "I have dreamt of this moment for years." It is also believed that Fox has set out in his first season to get United back competing in europe. Steven Thomson the united chairman had this to say, "It's great for the club as no one will have more passion to drive on that a true fan. I've had words with Daniel today and have told him the shoe string budget he has, but he is still confident. Daniel also said he looks forward to the challenge of splitting the old firm but knows his expectations for this year."

Transfer in / out at 15 August 2009:

Manager Daniel Fox was reportedly very pleased with his latest arrivals but was sad to see the back of likeable characters dods and robertson. Fox quickly used Arnar Viðarsson's popularity and his influence he has on the team and named him captian, which pleased the squad. Gary Kenneth was name as vice captain.Kris De Wree was brought in as a first choice DR as Fox made it clear a new DR was top priority. Gerald Sibon was also brought in as a back up to David Goodwillie while players such as Jon Daly and Fransisco Sandaza are out injured for months.Fox has stated that the window is still open and that he may bring in 1 or 2 more fresh faces for competition for a first team jersey.

Pre-Season:

Daniel Fox made it clear that he will experiment in pre-season and still came away with a couple of good results.

Overall Comments:

Good start to the season first game against hearts was 2-0 down at half time changed to my 442 and nearly won! I now play this tactic reguarly and it has helped me to a string of good results. The League cup game against forfar was nice as i now play fierce rivals Dundee in next round!

Life Long Arab? If youre Arab, you're always Arab :P

Good start, Good luck.

good start mate, would be nice to see someone else win in scotland.

i ment september ^^

September 09:

Celtic 1-0 Dundee United

- Samaras (62)

Game was fairly open and evenly matched. Both sides had there chances but celtic came out on top with a well placed samaras goal.

Dundee United
1-1 Motherwell

- Murphy (21)
- Myrie-Williams (56)

Dissapointing result made 3 changes then Bauben got injured had to play last 15 with 10 men. Bad start to month but it happens.

Dundee United 2-0 Dundee (League Cup)

- Cademarteri (11)
-Jim Lauchlan og (76)

Good win for united as they beat next door rivals dundee to book theirselfs with a Qtr Final match against St Johnstone (Another tayside rival) at Tannadice Park.

St Johnstone 0-1 Dundee United

- Sibon (76)

A good effort from Sibon from outside the area proved to be the vital winner as Dundee United ended the month on a high.

The Media caught up with Daniel Fox and he had this to say:

The month never started great with a loss and a home draw but we have gave ourselfs a confident boost with two wins in a row and will now look forward to hopefully starting october with an away win at Hibs. I have also been happy with the form of Webster, Cademarteri and captainViðarsson. I expect to see more of the same.
