I'm looking for one or two good CM's to buy heading into January. I'm considering selling Joe Allen & maybe Jordan Henderson, just looking for any good CM's to replace them and eventually take over from Gerrard/or develop well.

Players that I'm considering are Badelj, Jorge Enriquez & Blaise Matuidi. Lucas Romero went to Ajax so I'm giving him a miss for now, I play a 4-2-3-1 with two CM's, any ideas? Would selling Allen & Henderson be a wise move? I have about 12 million to mess with, if I sell Allen & Henderson then maybe 18-22 million. Thanks.
 
Personal experiences have proven that Henderson actually plays well if given the chance. I'd keep him if I were you. Allen is pretty much useless, so I'd sell him.

Badelj and Matuidi are your best bets imo. Never tried Enriquez, but whenever I've bought Matuidi he's worked wonders.

Cheers, I think I'll try and sign Matuidi then, truth be told I am looking more for a Defensive/BWM midfielder so he seems to fit the bill, if you have any other idea's then that'd be welcome.
 
Defensive wise, see if Javi Garcia is still at City. Wages might be over the top, but he should be available on loan, should he still be there.

Others I can think of top of my head are - Felipe Melo, Mohamed Diame (Unlikely he's still at W'Ham since he has a ?3.5m release clause), Luca Cigarini, Michael Bradley and Andile Jali. They -should- all be decent BWM's, though I only personally have experience with Bradley, Jali and Diame.

If all else fails, Matuidi -is- a very good BWM. He's never failed me at least.
 
Yeah tried to sign Diame, as did about 7 other clubs, and he chose Roma. Thanks for the recommendations, will look at them all.
 
i actually found Allen quite good? think the seasons he was there he played with an avg rating of 7+
 
Allen has never really performed for me, can't figure out why but he's averaging 6.5's whenever he gets played.
 
dont rate Henderson at all IRL but on the game he seems to do well so keep him sell Allen bring in Hughes or M.Pugliese? Albin Ekdal? you have Jordan Rossier in your U18 use him becomes top draw also look at Ashley Westwood or Gary Gardner from Villa both good im currently doing a Villa save and westwiood is class and Gardner is very good he averages about 130 passes a match with about %92 accurancy

Good shout, had forgotten about Rossiter. Hughes got poached by Man City, surprising as he seems to rarely move in the first window. Will give them a look, Cheers.
 
Koke from Atletico Madrid, Whether you could get him though i'm not sure, but worth a try i suppose. Since i'm a West Brom supporter i'll throw in Youssouf Mulumbu & Claudia Yacob.

Yacob is a good shout, but he's been bought by Porto in this save, had a couple of clubs come in for him immediately, does he have a release clause or do WBA just need the money?
 
Yacob is a beast, usually ends up wanting to leave after a season or two if they don't get Europe, so often gets sold for 10-12mil early on.
Thorne is dirt cheap and turns into a fairly solid DM too.

If you want British go in for ward-prowse, always done brilliant for me although is costly.

Mijailovic, Verratti and Leitner I've seen go fairly cheaply, could try for Stanciu/Inacu and just train them for CM if you want a more attacking option.

If you don't mind waiting a season get Sergi Roberto, absolute machine for me and you can get him for 750k or so from Barca start of second season.

Nope, he doesn't have a release clause so i guess west brom just tend to cash in for him.
I second George Thorne too, rotating him with Mulumbu currently - Although he would need some individual training on his tackling.

Maybe Arouca from Santos? He's 27 but would do the job for few years until a few regens come into play.
Michael Bradley from Roma - Similar to Arouca

Thought I'd update and let you know what happened during the Jan transfer window

Managed to sell Allen, decided to hold onto Jordan Henderson, ended up buying Matuidi for 5 million, he kept rejecting PSG's contract talks so they decided to cash in on him, quite happy with that. Tried to buy George Thorne, but besides him being fairly interested WBA were having none of it and wanted 10M + at least, annoying but oh well. Oh also started giving Rossiter some game time, literally like the last 20/30 minutes of a game we were 2 or 3 nil up.

Koke was a possibility as he hadn't been snapped up in the summer window (Monaco usually get him in the majority of my saves) But I preferred Matuidi as a cheaper option. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.
 
Fernando from Porto is brilliant, normally transfer listed aswell
