Hey lads,

Just ordered the game so starting again with a Liverpool save as I always do!

Just a few quick questions on target transfers,

how much will Luke Shaw, Will Hughes and Tom Ince will cost to get an offer accepted by their clubs at the very first transfer window? who can i sell to finance those moves? possibe to terminate the loans of cissoko and moses if i can get those transfer targets?

any other future english wonderkids recommended? as you can see i will try to get some british talent for the long run.

Hughes you can get for 5-6 mill, depends what mood derby are in and will take awhile to make up their minds, luke shaw will cost considerably more, so if you want one of them, i'd only go for one and not both, maybe buy the other one when you have more money to burn after a successful campaign. i've never been able to get Shaw less than 10 mill, that is just me and perhaps the teams i play as, never tried ince though.

What i will suggest is getting a new young striker, terminate the loans of moses and cissoko (not need in my eyes. play a 4-3-3 (or 4-3-2-1) with two inside forwards and a false 9 striker as that tactic very much compliments liverpool, use suarez as the left inside forward, sturridge as the make shift right inside forward and buy some one like adam campbell (youngster wonderkid), also buy damaio (stats aren't overly exciting but they lie, he is a goal or assist machine.).

As liverpool, i usually target these:

Hughes <-- a must buy for any team, he can be so easily molded into any CM/AMC position due to his starting stats, but to get the most of out him, put him on box to box midfielder heavy training, it makes him into a complete beast.

Damaio

Andros townsend (Right inside forward)

keep tabs on luke shaw, see if i can get him on loan and try then to buy him next summer.

On my save, I regrettably (I'm a Liverpool fan so it was hard to do) offloaded Suarez (48M) and Lucas (40M) to Bayern and Manchester City respectively.

Whilst Suarez is an incredible player, I still think 48 million is a lot of money when you can replace him with a youngster sometime in the future. Lucas, Again an insane player but I can't reject 40 million for him.

So that's 88 million generated from two players, Whilst only 13 million up front for Suarez may seem not enough, It actually helps you in many ways considering the large chunks of cash every month coming from that sale may help you massively in the long run. I think I got like 30 odd million of Lucas's sale up front, So that gave me some cash to spend.

I also offloaded Skrtel (8.5M) to Sevilla, High wages, And there's much younger, More talented centre-backs you can bring in.

Are you planning to just purchase British players? I tried to do this with one of my Liverpool saves, Honestly it didn't go too well. Most of the English youngsters get left behind by foreign talent when it comes to potential ability.

SPOILER ALERT: Jonathan Silva (Argentinian Left back) Has a higher potential ability than Shaw and will only cost around 3-4M Where-as Shaw would cost considerably more.

So if you do want to focus on British talent then make sure you're prepared to pay a premium.

So for Shaw I think I saw someone say they got him for like 18M in the first window, Ince will only cost around 3-4M (You'll get close to maybe more than 1M back, Due to his sell on clause) And Will Hughes, Derby usually demand around 10-11 million at the start, But I've seen someone say they got him for like 7M first window.

Also some other British youth to look at would be

GK - Jack Butland
RB - Callum Chambers, Elliot Hewitt
CB - Harry Maguire, I heard Michael Keane becomes solid. (Andre Wisdom played pretty much every game for me in my first season, Completely outperformed Agger)
LB - Luke Shaw, Ben Davies
DM - You already have Jordan Rossiter in your U18's, Sign him up on a contract ASAP. He becomes a very versatile player
CM - Ward-Prowse, Nick Powell, George Thorne. Could also check out Chalobah
Wings - You have Sterling, Already mentioned Tom Ince. As someone suggested, Townsend could be a great IF although when I tried to buy him he demanded like 65k+ wages in the first season.
AM - Ravel Morrison (Absolute tank, His aggressiveness and lack of sense let him down though, Won't want to be tutored by anyone, Excessive moaning etc etc. So be warned, But he turns into an absolute monster)
ST - Adam Campbell (Beast), You have Jerome Sinclair in U18's who becomes great.

Also, Ross Barkley becomes a great attacking midfielder but good luck trying to get him off Everton, Cause I couldn't. :(

Hope I helped.

Romero - 2.1 mill - ish is a great young CM

vadal guido 0.3 mill.. great AM for the future.

Jese - 4 mill but you will probably have to pay a far higher bill, he is amongst the top striker wonderkids in this years game.

see if you can sign jan oblak too, great wonderkid GK

Thanks for the feedback lads!

I tried once all british save and didnt enjoy it that much. I wont be doing that at least on my first run in the game.

Though I do still want at least 60% of the squad to be English. so if I have a squad of 22 players 14 minimum should be English.

I cant sell Suarez unless he wants to leave. Lucas I always sell and Skrtel too but that was in fm2013.

Since the team is not in europe, I wont be making huge signings and overloading the squad even more. but 3-4 young talents who can be regulars would be great to add and tutored with the likes of Gerrard still present.

I was thinking of those buys would cost less on my wage budget as well since I can cancel the loans of cissokho and moses and perhaps sell skrtel and lucas.

have to check on townsend, always bought adam campbell in fm2013 but hardly ever featured for me hope now is better.

i always keep skrtl and lucas, great defender and lucas i one of the best dm/ ball winning midfielders in the game, for me anyway.

Finally I got the game now, installing it and I will try to update what I have done in the transfer window asap! thanks again.

Pro tip, Your youngster Jordan Rossiter, give him lots of playing time, he becomes one of the best in the game if handled correctly :D

Wow! got about 17 million in euros to spend after backing down and settling for euro cup place. tried some cheeky bids for my transfer targets unfortunately price moved up from fm2013 days! ince i got an offer of 4.7m accepted at first attempt maybe can go down as i failed to agreee personal terms with him. luke shaw and ward powse well southampon wants key to the city for each. will hughes i got an offer of 12m accepted and personal terms too. so i guess for first season i will settle for hughes and ince at least till january. played my first game to anderlect away won 3-1. 1 suarez and 2 luis alberto. enrique got injured as always! didnt tinker with tactics that much just used a 4-5-1 set up. man city seems interested on lucas. lewandowski weirdly signed a contract renewal with dortmund. so much to do regarding staff changes and tactics, think i will just buy those 2. get ridd off moses for now.

I signed Luke Shaw for 25M after selling Santon for 30M in my second season with Newcastle, so you could probably get him for 15-20 first season, I never tried so only a guess.
