liverpool a weak team?

i've been playing quite a few games now. i've always noticed a trend- liverpool when controlled by A.I. always underperforms. it always lies in mid table in the league. usually 9-12th. is it their players or does rafa just sucks? lol. just weird.

rafa is overated in the game lol, good point actually, havnt realy seen any threat from torres or gerrard in the game tbh, and i rate torres the best striker in the world, stevie g is top 10 best players in the world too, ive actually signed stevie in the game from liverpool, which in reality, stevie would never leave liverpool lol

I usually plunder a few stars from Liverpool, they get financial problems a few seasons in so it dosnt help their cause.

yeah i noticed that as well was confused by that, but back on topic i have a game in 2022 now and Liverpool aint finished in topp four since 2010 yet Arsenal have won league 6 times in a row and **** on everyone along with Man United

On my game they sit 3rd three seasons running. But, Rafa left in first season to take Real Madrid job, they have Martin O'Niell now, and Steve Bruce has his job, and Tony Pulis is at Wigan(who are in League 1.....)

gerrard is very loyal to liverpool in real life, but he still signed for my man city. will join in January. liverpool in my game is losing to even middlesbrough and wigan. LOL!

AI doesn't have tactics which suit Liverpool. Liverpool's team needs very specific tactics (4-2-3-1) and very specific players (in personality terms etc.) to do well, generally speaking. The AI can't do the tactics, and can't buy the players. Would imagine in FM10 you'll see Liverpool much stronger as a result of the tactics being improved for the AI. If they fix the issues around AI managers recruiting players properly, that would be a bonus too.
