Liverpool F.C. - A New Era Beckons

After getting quite bored of my other saves I have decided I will start with Liverpool and do it as a story. I plan to replicate Liverpool's old dominance back in the 70's & 80's. My aim is to become the most successful Liverpool manager of all time and that would mean surpassing Bob Paisley's six league titles, five community shields, three league cups, three champions league titles and the super cup.

Targets for the save
7 x Premier League Titles
6 x Community Shields
4 x League Cups
4 x Champions League
2 x Super Cup

I will try and surpass those targets what I have set as they are the bare minimum I have to achieve while in charge of Liverpool to reach my goal.

I got given a ?25M budget so with budget I felt the need to buy in strength and depth as the core of the team is pretty decent. Very happy with my transfer dealings, many of the players which I signed are U23 and are for the future. I have been particularly pleased with Umtiti & Kampl, they're already proving to be good aquisitions.

The pre season results were mixed, but when the team started to click with the tactics we started to win, the team still aren't 100% fluid with the tactics but they are getting there and hopefully the results will get better as they play more.

Some great transfers in there mate, good to see another Liverpool Story, will be following this! Keep it up :)

Luis Suarez
Suarez was the stand out player this month. He scored three and assisted with two goals as well. He terrorised the defenders he came up against. They couldn't handle his movement and trickery. He and Coutinho have got a good understanding coming on and I expect it to get better and better.

I'm pretty happy with the way we have started the campaign, three clean sheets in four games and remained unbeaten. A great win against Cardiff which we won comfortable, two tricky draws against Stoke and Southampton and an easy win over Swindon in the cup.

You edited Suarez's match ban out?

Good transfers as well mate!

It's on Marshall's update forgot to turn it off when I made it so I think he removed the ban from Luis Suarez otherwise It'd still be there I think. Thanks mate.

Luis Suarez

Another player of the month award goes to Luis Suarez. Another two goals this month, he had one not so good game but made up for that with his performance against Fulham and was unlucky not to score more than the one against them as their keeper was in superb form.

Another mixed month, I would say. A great win over Arsenal to progress in the Captial One Cup, and another win over Sunderland which was albeit via a penalty but we should of scored more against them due to the amount of possession and shots we had. Two draws against tricky opponents in West Brom & Fulham meant we dropped 4 points, however, we still have not lost which is good.

Good start, as a frighteningly obsessed Liverpool fan, I will be following this. I've always struggled with Liverpool on FM14 though, yet to try it with LFCMarshall's update.

Coutinho
The award just had to go to Coutinho. He has been exceptional this month, bagging four goals from the wing, which isn't his favoured position but he's been playing consistently well there. Suarez ran him close but in the end it just had to be Coutinho.

What a great month! Four games, four wins. Two great wins against two exceptional sides in Man City & Tottenham. Man City was a tough game, but we fought back from the 2-0 deficit to run out comfortable 4-2 winners. A nice emphatic win over Hull too. Stoke game was tougher than it should of been, we got a bit complacent when we went 2-0 up and it came back to hit us, however, we still got the win we wanted.
