Double Announcement as Rodgers leaves Liverpool hot seat
View attachment 321463

Today, it has been confirmed that Brendan Rodgers (above) has left his post as Liverpool Manager. This comes after a series of discussions with the hierarchy at Liverpool, it was believed the decision between both parties came together after a disagreement over transfer budget talks and that certain signings hadn't been pushed over the line previously.

However, in a double announcement Liverpool have confirmed the appointment of English Manager, Chris Johnson. He has seemingly very little experience in the managerial world but has come up through the ranks from a coach at Liverpool and now has been given his big break to go into management. During the interview, Johnson had promised the fans with the most 'exciting' football they had seen since the Shankly & Paisley days.

Jordan Henderson was definitely our player of the month. What a player he has been this month, providing quality attacking play but with him having the engine he has been vital in helping our defence with his tracking back ability. He has been the focal point of our team so far, he has fantastic transitional abilities for our attack.

Not a bad start to the league, however, the loss to Stoke rankles a bit as it was an embarrassing result it seemed as though we didn't bother to turn up whatsoever. We had a solid win against the Saints which we played at the top of our game in, we were unlucky not to win by 6-1 at least we had that many chances.

It simply just had to be this guy, he's scored 9 goals this month including a double hat-trick against Basel. He has played out of the world this month and is well deserved for this award, I hope he can keep this form going in the coming months as it will be vital for our push for the title.

Manager Comments
We was very unfortunate to lose to Man City, we made a costly defensive error in the last few minutes to allow them to score right at the death, however, we followed the loss against City with an absolute rampant win against Basel to win 12-2 while finishing off the month quite strong with another three straight wins. I am, however, unhappy with the lack of clean sheets, however, this could be down to changing my centre backs all the time due to injuries.

Daniel Sturridge was definitely the best player for us other the past two months, he's been so consistent in his performances, scoring some absolutely vital goals and not only that he's also set up some fantastic goals for his team mates.

Manager Comments
We've had a great past two months, despite the hammering against Real Madrid and losing to Man City. We also thoroughly beat some teams such as Apoel, Newcastle and West Ham. We've now secured our place in the next phase of Champions League. I'm really unhappy with the lack of the clean sheets, that's something which we will need to change.

What the **** happened against Real Madrid! but apart from that, the rest was pretty successful and unlucky against Man City

It was a tricky one that, I had all my central defenders out injured so I had to play Lloyd Jones from the academy and play Emre Can there while I only had one fit first team full back, so our defense was really inexperienced so it meant that we got the inevitable thrashing.

Daniel Sturridge had to be our player of the season, bagging 51 goals in all competitions, 40 of which was in the league, while also laying on 16 goals for others. If it wasn't for Sturridge, we would have been a lot further down the table and no where near the European spots.

Manager Comments
Scoring doesn't seem to be our problem, we have scored absolutely loads of goals this season, however, our conceding so many stupid goals has led us to losing the title when it was so close to our grasps. We lost so many big leads in matches. I'm pretty happy with how we did though, getting into the Quarter Finals in the Champions League and finishing 4th so we are in the Champions League for next season.
