View attachment 425432After my Swansea story recently came to an end, I've decided to start my new story with my supported club Liverpool. I'm an incredibly passionate football fan, and when it comes to my team, I hardly ever miss a game and I'm always up to date. I usually have a long term Liverpool save every year and this year should be even better because i'm sharing it with you, really can't wait to get started.

As you can see despite not being in Europe, Liverpool are still a giant of a club and Champions League football should be a minimum, right now it's the absolute priority. That's our short term goal and for the long term, well getting back to winning lots of silverware, like we did when Shankly was in charge that's what i'm going for. Hopefully clear up our debt and expand Anfield or build a new stadium as well.

We have a decent amount of money to spend, and judging by our squad, we're going to need it. There's plenty of talent, but we'll need to add some much needed depth to the squad. Victor Moses and Aly Cissokho leave immediately after I decided to terminate their loan deals, overall I just didn't think they were good enough.

Next time I'll bring you our transfers coming in and going out, our pre season friendlies and as we approach the season ahead, we'll take a closer look at Liverpool, with a season preview.

Just a warning, at the end of the season/start of next season, Liverpool's youth category gets reduced to level 2. Hire enough U18's coaches to keep the youth setup high.

i like the layout looks interesting ill be following an good luck :)

Thanks for the heads up but I don't really use my U18 squad, i usually take any potential first team players and let them train with the first team, the facilities and quality of staff are much better for their development. I was looking through your story yesterday actually, I'm not caught up to date yet but I like what I see so far.

With that said, I hope this can be a place where we talk about Liverpool in real life as well as mine and your FM experiences with Liverpool, as I love all things Liverpool so I'll get the ball rolling.

So what do I make of Liverpool currently, well first of all I think Brendan Rodgers is doing a great job, his attacking football is at times tactically naive. It might take a few years off our life with the stress of our defending but I'd much rather watch my team play entertaining football every week, than watch someone like Benitez or Mourinho, who sometimes strangle a game and play for a draw.

On the top four, of course like any fan I'd be disappointed if we don't finish in the top four this season but if we
don't, it won't be the end of the world. We've finished 7th, 6th, 8th and 7th since we dropped out of the Champions League, we ended last year 12 points away from fourth placed Arsenal and this year we've been challenging for top four all season, we've even been in and out of the title race.

I just think that's great progress, I know if we don't get CL football, Suarez will most likely leave and for a club like Liverpool top four is a priority but I just think if we don't quite make the top four, Rodgers should be given another year to do it. I'm a strong believer in longevity and stability in football, it's no coincidence that United had all that success under Ferguson and Wenger continues to get top four despite the teams around him spending more money.

Don't worry I'm not a complete optimist, one part of the current Liverpool setup I do get frustrated with is our owners and the frustrating Ian Ayre. I know we're not in the CL but it seems we lose more transfer battles than we win and for a club like Liverpool that's not right. Sigurosson, Holtby, Eriksen, Ince, Wanyama even recently Konoplyanka, all players I'd loved us to of signed and very realistic signings, with all due respect to the clubs that signed them, we should be winning their signature.

Anyway I think I've rambled on for long enough about Liverpool, I could go on all day. I can talk about Liverpool every few days when something interesting happens like an injury or a match day, Let me know what you think about Liverpool currently and If you guys think this is a good idea be sure to let me know or If you don't care and just want to me to focus on Liverpool on FM, tell me.

Really sorry to have to say this guys but the story is going to have to be put on hold for now, my PC has completely stopped working, I'm writing this from my cousins house. It's terrible timing just before the weekend and it's going to be at least a week before it can be fixed and I'm not 100% sure it can be fixed.

oh no, was looking forward to seeing the progress. hope you can get it fixed.
