Hello I am new to this site after reading some wonderful football manager stories. My story is all about Liverpool football club getting back on their perch for premier league and European dominance just like the 80's. I have updated the 2012 version (old I know but I love it) with the current lfc squad as well as remy,Loren and origi as they are bound to happen! I have also given myself a rule in the transfer window I am only allowed to sign players for the price of the gossip columns in bbc sport, sky sports news and goal.com, exactly the same with players being sold I offer them out for the stated price. E.G. Bbc sport say that a loan deal for javier manquillo so I would offer the season long loan for him and see what happens, should be interesting.

My season we be separated into 1 month periods with details about each game and cup draws and transfer activity, I aim to update this season every 3 days or so. I hope enough people will be interested!

impossible is nothing!

Pre-Season: I decided to go with 7 Pre season friendlies including one against the reserve squad. I set up my tactics to try and accommodate the mass amount of attacking players I have; I decided to go with 4-2-3-1 attacking with a fluid philosophy
Game 1 - Liverpool 3-1 Reserves, I planned this game to look for any reserves to promote to the first team, nobody stepped it up unfortunately, goalscorers were Sturridge, remy and origi.
Game 2 - Motherwell 2-4 Liverpool, following on from game one remy scored twice, the golden oldie lambert added one and to finish it off youngster suso scored a belter from 25yards, but on the downside my new look defence couldn't handle that of Motherwell's poor attack
Game 3 - Colchester 1-1 Liverpool, back in England we managed to ****** a draw with a young side as substitute Sturridge scored his 2nd goal of Pre-season
Game 4 -Liverpool 3-2 Bayern Munich, A sell out crowd at anfield saw liverpool race into a 3 goal lead inside 20 minutes against a mix of old and young Munich players, goalscorers were remy for his 4th in as many games, Sturridge once again and pacy winger lazar markovic.
Game 5 - Pachuca 2-1 Liverpool, a narrow defeat stopped our unbeaten Pre-season run, on a bright note remy scored his 5th goal in as many games.
Game 6 -Airdrie Utd 1-6 Liverpool, liverpool ran riot in Scotland with 6goals, 2 a piece from Sturridge and coutinho as well as a skrtel goal and a own goal.
Game 7 - Liverpool 2-3 Real Madrid, the final Pre-season game saw us take on European giants Madrid, they raced into a 3 goal lead inside 15 minutes, but we showed great character to nearly complete a second half comeback goals from remy and sakho.

Transfer updates: In: With only 7million given to buy players I decided to put that into my wages.
Out: Martin Kelly out on season long loan deal to Cyrstal Palace. ( because of bbc sports rumour of a loan to Newcastle in real life)

Injury updates: Gerrard out until Mid September with a thigh injury. Sturridge will be out until between late September and early October, after injuring his hip in the friendly with Airdrie United.

Summary: A decent Pre season saw plenty of goals, but a long injury to Sturridge could unsettle the start to the new season. If there is anything that you either love or hate please don't hesitate to let me know as I am brand new to this.

August:After a fairly successful Pre-season it's time to start the season without Sturridge and gerrard both injured.
Prem Week 1: Liverpool 2-0 Q.P.R, great start to the season as sterling ran the show with a goal and a assist for new boy remy, sterling's goal making him the youngest ever liverpool fc goalscorer.
Prem Week 2:Wigan 0-2 Liverpool, Two wins from two as Henderson and coutinho made it a happy journey home with 3 points.
Carling Cup 2nd Round:Brighton 1-4 Liverpool, second half subs made it an easy days work against a plucky Brighton side, goals from Allen, remy, lallana and lambert, the latter two on their debuts as subs put us in the hat for the next round.
Prem Week 3:Liverpool 1-1 Astonvilla, A decent point against the villains to keep the unbeaten record going a goal from loic remy got the point on the board.

Cup Draws:
Carling cup 3rd round - Bolton Wanderers at Anfield

League table and Summary for August coming up

August League Table 1st-4thand Monthly Summary

1st: Tottenham 9 points
2nd: Arsenal 9 points
3rd: liverpool 7 points
4th: stoke 7 points
Summary: In the top 4 after 3games is as good a start as any and with gerrard returning in September plenty to look forward too. Also a win in the League cup 2nd round hopefully some silverware at the end of the season.

Sloppy September

Prem Week 4:Tottenham 5-1 Liverpool (Loic Remy), What's more to say than a shoddy performance which perhaps indicates at how hard the top 4 May well be, the only positive comes from loic remy's goal his 3rd of the season.
League cup 3rd Round Liverpool 1-2 Bolton (Loic Remy), after last matches collapse I was hoping for a change of things this time round but David N'gog had other ideas on his return to Anfield as he scored 2goals, the second in the last minute to cancel out Loic Remy's strike, his 3rd in a row.
Prem Week 5: Wolves 1-4 Liverpool (Remy, gerrard, sterling and bassong og), A much needed win after being winless in 3 with Loic remy scoring in his 4th consecutive game, Steven Gerrard returned to action with a goal.
Prem Week 6:Blackburn 1-1 Liverpool (gerrard), The final game of the month saw a Gerrard penalty strike grab a point at Ewood park.

League Table 1st to 8th:
1st: Tottenham 18 points 7 played
2nd: Arsenal 16 points 7 played
3rd: Wigan 13 points 7 played
4th: Chelsea 12 points 7 played
5th: Newcastle 12 points 7 played
6th: Aston Villa 12 points 7 played
7th: Man united 11 points 6 played
8th: Liverpool 11 points 6 played

Summary:
After a bright start September showed that its not going to be a walk in the park, out of the League cup early but that could may well be a blessing without the extra games and with no Europe either. Sturridge should return in October and hopefully give us some extra fighting spirit.

October

Prem Week 7: Liverpool 1-1 Sunderland (Coutinho), Another sloppy home performance with 2 points dropped from a winning position.
Prem Week 8: Man city 0-2 Liverpool (Sturridge and Sakho) A great away performance against a title challenger Sturridge scoring his first goal for the club, could this be the start of better form.
Prem Week 9: Liverpool 3-0 Swansea (Loren,Sturridge and sterling) Two wins on the trot and now 5 games unbeaten, form could very much change going into November.

League Table 1st-4th:
1st:Tottenham 22 points 9 played
2nd: Arsenal 19 points 8 played
3rd: Wigan 18 points 10 played
4th: Liverpool 18 points 9 played

Summary: A good month all round as Sturridge returned to help us go unbeaten and back into the top 4, not too far behind the leaders either bright times ahead for Liverpool.
