Hi,

has anyone watched the Liverpool friendlies so far ?
Any idea on how Rodgers thinks about this year's tactics ?

There are 2 tactics which stand out

4-2-2-2

Usual back four with the full backs providing the width
Lucas the holding midfielder with Gerrard the deep lying playmaker
Two wide men are inside forwards leaving space for the full backs
Two strikers very fluid keep dropping off almost to a 4-2-3-1 system

4-2-3-1
Very similar system to the 4-2-2-2, but will be used for bigger games as it is a more solid, defensive formation
CAM will sometimes create a central midfield 3, but also asked to push on and support the lone striker
Wide men again are usually inside forwards but youngsters such as Ibe and Sterling providing more pace and width when coming on or starting

just thought id say im watching them now v Thailand xi and they won 3-0 Coutinho scored a ****** superb goal, Aspas and Gerrard scored the others also Aspas looked very good.Mignolet had a very good first half aswel they didnt look to bad at all

We're looking pretty good although its only pre-season

with another few signings which we'll make we will improve further, if Suarez does stay its just an added bonus
