Liverpool: The way it use to be

This is my first ever FM story I decided to take my Beloved Liverpool Back to the Champions League. There is a little twist on who replace Brendan Rodgers. Hope you enjoy.


I walked into the room, ready for he interview with Liverpool Boardroom. My aim to get this job but I to go through this first.This last time I was in the boardroom was when I was signing contracts to play for teams. I knew this was the first step to becoming a successful manager is to deal with the pressure.

John Henry: we have a few philosophes we have to put forward, sign young players do you agree with this?

I had possible answers running through my head...
Of course I believe the future I important to the club, I also believe that we need top quality players now to achieve glory as soon as possible. So I think there should be a mix.

John Henry: we agree, we would like you to play possession football and attacking football

I am very use to this football, as I use to play this kind of football in my playing days , its the way forward and agree, Liverpool Football Club needs to play this Football.

John Henry: We want you to achieve Champions League Football in your first season can you do it?

Well I believe in the Liverpool players that they can do it, I will relishing the task to bring Liverpool just how it use to be.

John Henry: Final question How will you maintain Suarez leaving?


I will have a personal chat,if I get the job he will be a key player in my plans, I can assure you if I am Liverpool Manager, Suarez will be staying.

Next Day.

Ring, Ring,Ring My phone was going off, I was eating my breakfast I picked up my phone. Hello Luis, You've got the job report to Melwood as soon as possible, you have to meet the press and meet the players, see you then, ok.
Excitement was rushing through my body I was jumping up and down. This is the feeing I got when I scored my first professional goal.





I got to my car and was heading for Melwood, this was a great day for me. I was driving through Liverpool, I thought to myself if I achieved success they would be chanting my name. I arrived at Melwood the camera's flashing. I got out of my car.


I walked in, I saw John Henry, he said follow me, we was walking through Melwood, I saw the players training I couldn't wait to start training these bunch of players.


I walked into the press conference, flashing lights were flashing on my face.

They announced it Luis Figo is the new Liverpool manager.




Reporter: Is this you're dream come true managing Liverpool ?

Luis Figo: This is a Dream to manage a team like Liverpool its a great opportunity, I will try and get them as much success as possible.

Reporter: Will you be looking to dip into the transfer market?

Luis Figo Yes I will.

Reporter: Who are they?

Luis Figo I will not be talking about transfer targets today.

Reporter: How will you keep Suarez away from Real Madrid ?

Luis Figo I will be talking to Luis

Reporter: Do you think you will get top 4?

Luis Figo Of course, I think that's enough questions for today

Reporter: Ok thanks for your time.


I Left the room, I was going to go speak to the team now. My heart was beating it was important to have a good first impression. I walked in they had just finished there training session.

Luis Figo: Hello Team I am the New Liverpool Manager, I cant wait o get started.

Steven Gerrard: Welcome, we hope you have a successful career here.

Luis Figo I expect us to qualify for the Champions League

Daniel Agger: Yes that is possible, we train hard and play well.

Luis Figo; I am Happy with the reaction. You may Leave.




Luis Figo: Luis can stay behind.

Luis Suarez: Sure Boss what do you want.

Luis Figo: I personally think you should stay at Liverpool, Trust me as Former Player You can achieve it all here trophies, in a few years you could be winning the Ball'd'or. You are a special player and my key player.

Luis Suarez: If you think so Boss, you are legend. I will be staying but if we don't achieve Champions League.

Luis Figo: Ok but I know we will achieve it.

Luis Suarez: Ok Boss, im going, thanks for the chat its convinced me to stay.

Luis Figo: See you tomorrow.
