Exclusive:Jose Mourinho has been confirmed as the manager of Real Madrid after weeks of speculation following the sacking of now infamous manager Manuel Pelliegerini who despite having the highest win percentage of any Real Madrid manager with 75% in 48 games was never able to meet the ferverent expectations of the fanatical Real Madrid supporters. This was compunded by his failure in Europe where Real Madrid bowed out to unfancied Lyon in the group stages.

Jose Mourinho takes a seat on which few have survived on with the likes of Fabio Capello being sacked despite winning them a Spanish League Title beacuse he was never able to win a Champions League Title for Real Madrid.

There has also been severe criticism to the appointment of Jose Mourinho widely known for his 'anti-football' tactics and it is well-known that the Real Madrid supporters want trophies with beatiful football being played. However, club President Florentino Perez is confident Jose Mourinho will be a success.

In his very first day in-charge,Jose Mourinho has promised atleast 3 new signings as he felt that the team was too 'unbalanced' for his liking. He has also said that he would be offloading a few 'useless' players as he felt that they will not fit into the club system and also to help reduce Real Madrid's enourmous wage bill.

Looks promising, big bucks to spend, can you please the Spanish audience?

I will do my best eh.............anyone knows if u can play Ronaldo in an Advanced Forward position

héhé you can even put him in the goal if you want to :P
Just train him into doing advanced forward, he'll do fine

In his first move as Real Madrid manager,Jose Mourinho removed both Daniel Opare and Rafel Van der vaart from the transfer list as he belived that both of them still had an important role to play in the club.

Jose Mourinho was reportedly 'shocked' to find Daniel Opare on the transfer list as he counted the Ghana full-back as one of the most promising youngsters today in the game.

Pre-Season best player

This player delighted in Pre-Season with a hatful of goals and assists and was otherwise the shining light in an uneventful Pre-Season.I hope his good form continues throughout the upcoming season as we will badly need it.

In the recently concluded Pre-Season,we have seen Jose Mourinho experiment with a highly unusual 4-4-2 diamond formation with his Real Madrid Team with one of the world's best players Cristiano Ronaldo playing as a striker instead of playing in his favoured winger role.

This has already drawn criticism from some fans and this tactic's many errors were highlighted by the extremely poor pre-season results. However,Jose Mourinho is confident that his players will eventually get used to the tactic and grind out results.

El Clasico

Real Madrid 1-0 Barcelona

Real Madrid pulled of an emphatic victory over Barcelona today thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's sole goal through a penalty.Jose Mourinho once again proved to be the master of tactics by silencing Messi once again and this time it was done not by Zanetti but young Fernando Gago.

The game was marred however by Kaka's injury and Cristiano Ronaldo's red card which would mean that he will be banned for one game. There has been no report yet on Kaka but Jose Mourinho belives he will make a speedy recovery.

The players will not jet off to different destinations to meet up with their national teams as the week ahead is a international week.If Kaka joins Brazil remains to be seen.

Mourinho silences his critics with one bold masterstroke

Jose Mourinho who has been receiving criticism from several quarters recently has finally managed to silence them by beating Barcelona 1-0 in his very first league game in-charge.The way he managed to keep Messi quiet and even curb the passing abilities of the inspirational Xavi using the inexpereinced pair of Lassana Diarra and Fernando Gago is a feat unheard off.

Some people said his tactics were not suited for Real Madrid,Some people said that his tactics were 'anti-football' but Jose Mourinho kept all of them quiet with one single game.A game in which his team had 14 shots compared to Barcelona's 9.Of his shots 6 of them were on target compared to Barcelona's 2 shots on target and he had 3 clear-cut chances if not for Higuan to let him down.

Whatever you think of Jose Mourinho, you have to admit,he is the best.

Breaking news:Xabi Alonso has been ruled out for upto 3 months from footballing action due to a hip injury he sustained during training. This will come as a blow to Jose Mourinho who belives Xabi Alonso to be an important cog in the Real Madrid wheels.Futher on,with Kaka injured and Cristiano Ronaldo suspended,Real Madrid will be hard-pressed in their next few games without their big names.
