LLM Formation for Stalybridge

I am currently managing Stalybridge Celtic in the Vanarama North. The board has asked me to avoid relegation for the season. With a team struggling to compete, what should I look for in signings and formations? Go defensive? Work the midfield? Thanks for the input!

My only two tips would be to choose "counter" as the tactic's mentality and limit the team instructions to 4/5 tops, to suit the quality (or lack of) your players.
