Having not played FM for a few years, FM14 has been a disaster for me
I can't seem to stick to one safe and so feel that a long term project may keep me occupied
I've decided to manage a 3rd division Spanish team with the long term project to break the Real Madrid/Barcelona dominance in Liga BBVA

My team of choice: Salamanca AC (Predicted finish 20th)

I'm a noob to LLM so how would you guys recommend I sign the right players
Obviously I'm going to heavily rely on free transfers

Tactically, I'm not sure how to work with technically inadequate players...

I've read some basic LLM guides but any live help from any of you would be fantastic

Keep the tactic super simple, make sure it has a solid backline and a good target man up front (good and solid being relative to the quality of the available players) and then spend most of your time scouring the market for decent free transfers to bring in. Cut anybody who may have a lot of potential but can't cut it in the first team at this moment: you need players who can help you gain promotion because that's how you're going to fill the bank quicker in order to get better. Best advice: go for older players with good technique.

Well I've just looked at the team... I have 8 players on full contracts and £350 of wage budget
This is going to be a lot harder than I thought

It will be, but the good news about being semi-professional is that you can bring in players for free and just pay them for playing matches and on non-contracts. The only challenge will be that players will be picked up by bigger/richer clubs when they have the money.

We're professional but still have a very small squad. Most players are greyed out...
They don't have the finances to get anywhere

The only thing you can do is try and go on a cup run and try to organize big friendlies. You need cash in the bank ASAP.

Because I haven't gone past the first day, I think I'm going to swap over to a Semi-pro side instead
Preferably one that I can take in to a point of stability before becoming pro
Salamanca were established in 2013 and I don't think I had the finances to even field a team of 11 hence the change
