Just thinking if anybody agrees with me that long throws need to be improved in the next FM game? I mean think about the havoc we've seen created by long throws in the last few seasons (i'm thinking Delap here) with own goals, confused keepers and worried defenders resulting from these bullet throws. However, in the game I have never seen this portrayed, can't even remember a long throw being thrown into the box.

Only a small thing, but I think it would be something that could improve the game ever so slightly.

True. Although a keeper punched away one of my shots and it ended across in the other half for a shy I was like what the ****? If you can do that how can there not be long throws?

Yeah, would add a new dimension of strategy to deal with teams that utilise the long throw effectively.

Yeah, i've seen this too, bit of a lack of consistency there.

Once my team scored from a long throw. The guy had 19 long throw. It really should be improved ...

Well 2nd season as Burnley I signed Delap, and there was nothing special about his long throws in game.

I agree, it would give teams like Stoke who rely on people who can throw far to be able to get results through these attacks. I've never scored a goal resulting from a Long Throw on FM09.

well i believe they have revamped the match engine in 2010 so maybe it will be abit more realistic, i think the match engine in FM09 was very unrealistic but i hope it changes

I've gotten a couple goals on long throws into the box. Most come from when you have a guy or two standing near the near post, the throw comes in and they flick it in. When it happens, someone on defense usually makes a mistake.
