Real Sociedad de Fútbol S.A.D.

Real Sociedad de Fútbol S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Real Sociedad, is a Spanish football club based in San Sebastián in the Basque region. The club was founded the 7:th of September 1909 and is often nicknamed "Los Txuri-urdin" meaning "The white-blue", in Basque. Real Sociedad play its homematches at the Anoeta Stadium, a football stadium which has an capacity of 32,200. The club has during its 114 year old history managed to win the Spanish league, Liga BBVA, two times. The first in the 1980-81 season and the second the season after in 1981-82. Besides winning the league the white-blue side has won the spanish cup, Copa del Rey, two times (1908-09, 1986-87) and the spanish Supercup, Supercopa de España, at one occasion in 1982, the clubs most successful season ever. The clubs bitter rivals are, fellow Basque side, Athletic Bilbao and the two clubs faces eachother in the Basque derby. During the years many successful and talented players has represented the club, players such as José María Bakero, Xabi Alonso, Darko Kovacevic, Jesús María Zamora, Jesús María Satrústegui and current captain Xabi Prieto. After having been relegated the 2006-07 season the Basque club gained promotion in the 2009-10 season, and the last season (2011-12) the club finished 12:th in the Liga BBVA.
