losing every game

im losing games both away and at home against teams that i should be thrashing, it says that the team is competant with the formation, tempo etc but still losing why is this.
 
there are two possible reasons

your team really really but really sucks or you are a pretty bad manager (A)
 
Could you post your tactics mate, that way we can try and help. :)

But generally, make sure you don't keep changing tactics, pick one and stick with it for a bit. Also if you are really struggling tactically read TT & F. It is supposed to be for fm10 but the concepts are still the same.
 
What team are you?
What formation do you use?
Whats your starting 11?

These would be useful for people to help you :)
 
First two years, usually for me though, I have the same problem as you. Tactics seem to not work when I am heavy favorites. Just stick with it and then they will grow into it. Now I only lose like 3 games a year in the EPL with Newcastle. Currently am 20-2-2 and one of the losses was cause 3/4 of my squad was on international duty.

Theses advises are really useful ;-) It's always hard to get out of these streaks.. but important is to be patient.. when it is long, try to bring a new player to the starting line-up (I mean someone good or experienced, personality) or try to change team instructions massively.. It helped in many cases.. some fortunate goal, or the players just find something new in their abilities.. Sometimes new contracts can help to cheer up the players a little..
 
I ahte to say this but I think u need new players. Maccarrone is almost in your team and hes ****! buy enyeama for in goal 325k from hapoel tel aviv and get some freebies
 
Maccarone is in my team because miccoli is out injured and i spent 3 million on annan so havent got any money left. Is annan any good on fm 11

Also, playing fast and narrow... meh... in my opinion, it doesnt work...
You are not managing Barcelona. Not every player in your team have creativity and flair above 15 like pastore... so, put the "creative freedom" to default... and than, set Pastore's creative freedom to wanted... Ill go near max.
In pre seasson, I like to play "mickey mouse" games... it keeps moral high for main thing, national league or continental challange... hope this helps
 
i have the same problem in this game but in fm 2010 i was not like that..... i think the game is getting harder
 
Try the goals galore tactic, and jp woodys tactic , they are great and in match prep put those 2 tactics :d

I would change the formation to suit all the player's natural positions if you can, that way you'll get the best out of them. Also as you state youre losing alot, try not to play a direct play and don't make the players roam as this will leave gaps for the opposition to go through, so make it default or even stick to position.

How big do you lose by? Could you screen shot your fixture scores for me please?
 
i generaly lose by about one or two goals against teams that i shouold be beating comfortably

Have changed tactic and has yielded an away draw and a home win so shall be sticking with that, can be found here.
