Hello people

This goes out to all of you who i wish i was as good as at football manager. Recently i have taken on East Stirlingshire, Scottish third division, and being a new user of 2010 i find myself very over excited and quite frankly alittle confused. All the new settings, roles and individual responsibilities look really precise and what have you... Anyway, what im after is some kind of master quide (without ruining the game for me) to setting up a strong home game formation and tactic, and away game formation and tactic.

Pllleeaasseeee get back to me folks, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Think how you want to play your football. Do you want to be Arsenal, be very fluid allow players lots of freedom to move around the pitch switch positions and do all that. Or do you want to be Stoke, play 10 men behind the ball look to strike via the Counter Attack and well drilled set peices...

Then look at the roles of player that are available and the instructions to give them and figure out the best way to do that...

Use the wizard it helps and it is pretty straightfoward...Also not every tactic is going to work, it has taken me a while on the 10.3 patch to find a tactic that is close to working.

What would you say is the best away game formation? I've constructed a decent home 4-4-2 but i'm unsure as to whether i should use the same away... Would a 4-5-1 maybe work, or a 4-1-3-2?

Also, corner tactics... Could you advise me with the best specific positioning of players to effectivally convert corners into goals or atleast give me the best chance..

Cheers!
