Hi there!

I'm currently manager of Valletta FC of Malta. The Maltese Premier League is a 1-star reputation league. I won the league 2 seasons in a row now, winning the Super Cup and FA Cup as well.
Problem is my goal is to advance in the champions league, I once progressed to the third qualifying round, and was eliminated on aggregate 4-3 against Rangers.

I have some quality players but now I can't seem to find/attract better players than the ones I currently have. I have players like Leonardo Bonfim , Rychely and Tomas Xavier which are my most valuable players. Problem is, they are now looking for a way out as they want to play for a bigger team, I can't really blame them, but if I let them go I would like to find a replacement as they are the pivot of the team.

I have about 4 Maltese National team players which managed to get Malta ranked as no 79, which means Maltese players are improving or domestic league is more competitive...

I would like your opinion on how to attract better players or increase Team / League reputation.

Thanks!

Try taking over Malta as international boss and increase their FIFA ranking. This should help raise the reputation of the country and the leagues and to help you out try signing some of the best young Malta players and develop them at your club.

Apart from that, I can't think of many other way unless you get lucky with a few high reputation players wanting to sign, or you advance further in Europe. Try getting a high reputation feeder club? E.g. Man Utd, Chelsea, Barca or Madrid
