The Madagascar national football team, nicknamed the Barea is the national team of Madagascar and is controlled by the Fédération Malagasy de Football. It has never qualified for the finals of the World Cup or the African Nations Cup. Among its biggest wins was a 1-0 home victory over Egypt in the qualification rounds of the 2004 African Cup of Nations. Reflecting the official name of the country at the time, the team was known as the Malagasy Republic national football team between 1958 and 1975.

My Challenge as new Madagascan Manager is to hopefully not get beaten too badly, and uphold this countries glory. To do this I have to get results, and make sure the boared are happy. Maybe get a club job after.

Instead of taking a long holiday until his next match selection. Madagascan National Coach Josh Creighton has decided to join the elite club/international managers.

You may have expected him to join a local Madagascan club. But Manager Josh Creighton decided against it, as it may cause favourtism in International matches.

Creighton applied for a few bottom division African clubs. After some shrot spells at 3 clubs totalling 3 weeks, Creighton decided that he would have to move to a better country to improve his reputation.

Now he is in charge of Cameroonian side AS Cetaf! Looking to bring the club glory.

My cousins wifes uncle is the lord of Madagascar and Mauritus...You have my blessing ^_^

Aug - 2010

With no funds at all Creighton said that he will make only a couple of signings, but the transfer window starts in December, so only players he will sign will be free agents.

Pre-Season

Cetaf 4-0 Unisport - Great win, everyone contributed well and ensured us the win!
(Tchoumi 20, N'Koulou Pen 24, Andrés 36, Lang 40)

Cetaf 1-2 Lausanne - Good performance, but couldn't finish the chances. Gave away two scrappy goals in the first half.
(Tchana 40)

Cetaf 1-1 Achille - We played badly, but were better than our oppenants, a draw seems about right.
(Tsenko 47)

Cetaf 1-0 Njalla Quan - Let assistant control this as I was traveling to Madagascar for the match against Malawi.
(Pellegrin 54)

Cetaf 1-1 AS Matelots - Let assistant control this as I was traveling to Madagascar for the match against Malawi. Takes a while to get to Madagascar you know.

African Cup of Nations Qualifying

African Cup of Nations Qualifying

Madagascar have been drawn in a tough group, including the likes of South Africa, Malawi, and Mozambique.

this group has been ranked, as not important as South Africa will almost definately qualify, but Madagascar Manager Josh Creighton thinks if his team play their best and get a result they could qualify.

Madagascar 3-2 Malawi - What a match, we evened thingsd up and our player scored a wonder goal near the end! Feel sorry for them though.

Cameroon is a nice place to live.

No problems with life, got a nice house, but one problem is the constant trips to Madasgascar. I have to get on a plane to south africa, then get a boat to Madagascar, which takes ages.

Club Update:

Cetaf 1-0 Roumdé Adjia - Can't believe we didn't score more, and missed a penalty.

Cetaf 2-0 PWD Bamenda - Compleate dominace of the match, every box ticked. Solid Performance.

Cetaf 3-3 Danay F.C. - Conceded 2 goals in last 10 mins, really dissapointing, icluding an own gaol :(

good luck, will we have full updates of club and country? looking forward to it.

BBC Sport > Football >World > Africa >Nations > Cameroon > MTN Two

There has been alot of action so far in the season, as Cetaf look to dominate the division, by winning 7 out of Nine games on their unbeaten streak.

They have done well under the manager who is taking Madagascar to the next level as he has won 2 of his qualifiers already pushing Madagascar up to 99th place in WR.

In last place Citrina only winning 1 match of their nine games.
